We deserved the loss, Napoli were far better and far more up for it, especially second half. Dno why Klopp didnt play Studge and Shaq in their form and give Fabinho a chance in europe where its meant to be less intensity etc.

When we did press it was one player on his own, Salah stuck out wide for the whole game, haven't seen him do that in a long time so clearly had instructions. We started extremely sloppy and just never got going, only mane could keep the ball upfront.

Alisson and Gomez were good tonight. Van Dijk was in 1st half.

Midfield were rubbish. Klopp needs to think of changing formation and tactics. Start with dropping Henderson. Play Shaqiri as no.10. Milner in place of Henderson just in front of defence.

Im puzzled, what did van dijk do wrong in the second half? And did you miss how gomez was at fault for the Martens chance and could have done better with the goal? I can only imagine the sh!t Lovren would get if it was him instead of Gomez.

Gomez should have been aware of Mertens who was in the centre, Joe totally lost track of him. And for the goal all he had to do is stay within the passing lane of the cross but he looked confused.

I agree that Taa was not great, as was Robertson. This is Andy's second bad game in a row and Alexander has yet to play an outstanding game after he came from the worldcup. Im a little worried to be frank. If this continues it will invite so much pressure on the defense. We need to find the mojo back and converting the chances. Today we even didn't create the chances which is alarming.

Both were excellent crosses and very difficult to defend for both Mertens chance and the goal. That's how Napoli have been playing under Sarri. I think Trent and Robertson should have stopped the cross in the first place.
