Put loads of people together and get them p!ssed you will get social disorder
-------------------------------
Says more about your upbringing than anything else. There are loads of examples where people are put together and get piiissed and nothign happens.

Lowlands festival in the Netherlands and Pink Pop attract around 50,000 people all drunk for 4 days in a row and basically nothing happens.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet the Cheltenham festival, and Epsom derby have had near riots between p155ed up groups of people over the last few years.

But I’m answer to your question, no I don’t think it’d happen in Russia cos the same numbers wouldn’t travel. That’s due to the rival fans more so than the strict policing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Even if they could travel in larger numbers, the mental fear would still be there. Some would drop out, whilst others would try to risk it.

As you know, when you act like a d!ck head in another country, there's no guarantee you will be treated civilised like a UK citizen there.

I can't believe those saying that it was "a laugh" or "just a bit stupid" as long as it wasn't racially motivated.
Either way it was an assault.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you're perfectly aware of the consequences of racially fuelled assault - especially in the current climate.

If you picked up a newspaper and the headline was "fans push local man into fountain" you might not dwell on it but if the headline was "reds fans throw Asian man in fountain in racially motivated assault" then the attention is tenfold.

I hope those perpetrators are publicly named and shamed, and fired from their jobs, or stop their welfare funds.

Think being fired from your job is a little strong.

You've got to laugh at some people in society today. What happened with the old bloke and the fountain was moronic to say the least.

But so are the people who come on places like this to show how disgusted they are with this behaviour.

It all stems from TV and social media, how many people have watched Jackass or Dirty Sanchez and laughed their heads off ?

How many people have watched youtube and been in hysterics ?

You see, why are people surprised when this behaviour is everywhere and easily accessible for not just adults, but kids as well ?

How do we know that these idiots were not doing something to put them on social media and get 15 mins of fame ?

Now, I bet the people on here demanding justice would be down the pub with their mates on the weekend with a few jars in them, all watching videos on their phones and laughing their heads off.

Pushing a helpess passerby into the fountain and goading him is strong.

Have to hit them where it hurts.

Good luck to any employer being taken to an industrial tribunal, for unfair dismissal, and hoping to win that case.

Look it's booze and numbers.

Put loads of people together and get them p!ssed you will get social disorder and this has been going on since time began (well since they invented alcohol anyway).

Weddings, funerals, Friday nights, football matches, night clubs, whatever.

Some people like to have a drink and a tear up and that's about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was at the Rosebowl for England v India in September, hot day... drinking from arrival at the station at 9 until leaving the ground at 19.00 and didn;t see any fighting or trouble
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I must admit cricket and rugby is the anomaly in what I said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And fans are not segregated....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah it's weird really but there are few things I like more than a day at test cricket.

I was lucky enough to be at Edgebaston when Jimmy took six wickets in a session. I was well oiled and had those awful plastic ring things that carry six pints. Spilt them all over everyone and didn't even get filled in which was a surprise to be honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed... especially when the weather is good and you get banter between the fans. Couldn't believe it the first time I went to cricket (a t20 about 5 years ago), went to get a beer and the lad at the bar asked "how many?" haing been used to football and quickly trying to neck a pint before a game and at half time I was like wtf... I took 2 of the 4 pint carriers and settled in for a couple of hours

I've played a GTA franchise games. I've watched Jackass. I've watched Dirty Sanchez. I've watched Donnie Yen's SPL movie with that insane knife fight scene, heck i've even witnessed knife crime. I even love to search up Youtube prank videos to watch.

But yet i'm sat here in the pleasant day watching people enjoy themselves in the open. And no fountain in sight to push them in. Dang.

I know a few people like me too

Can't say I have if I'm honest, all those "wacky" stunts do nothing for me, I'd much rather see a real accident where someone gets hurt (not badly of course)

But back to the video in question, I don't feel disgusted by it at all, I just feel embarrassed for the middle aged bloke doing something so stupid to get a bit of recognition, proper sad act him

I go to Glastonbury nearly every year. Been 13 times and you stand around in a field often off your trolley and there's never any trouble. I never see any anyway.

It's nothing to do with being in a crowd. It's to do with being a scrote. And football sadly attracts lots of them.

Similar story with music festivals. Some of them attract the worst kind of morons imaginable and I avoid them.

Don’t think there’s the tribal mentality at a place like Glastonbury that you get with football though.

Creamfields gets loads of trouble every year. Been a few times in my early years. Hated it. Just fully of awful people and sadly a lot of them were Scousers as the site is situated not too far from Liverpool in Daresbury,. Cheshire.

It's not just a tribal thing however that clearly plays a role at the footy.

It's simply about respecting others and understanding socially accepted etiquettes.

You can have lots of fun and be pleasant at the same time without spoiling it for others.

No one is perfect, and we will all make mistakes from time to time. But respect goes a long way in forming understanding.

It’s very bad but let’s not act like it’s just the British.

Ajax fans yet had a huge number that came down throwing bottles and bricks at spurs fans who were trying to get into the stadium.

They even ended up fighting with the police.
