If Spurs Win The CL....

It’s both. Think of it this way - I’ve always said Spurs are at their most dangerous when they have nothing to lose.

When they were chasing Leicester for the title, they were ruthless. When 1st was in their grasp (after our slip up at West Brom) they lost to West Ham. Like Don says, they have bottled semi finals and opportunities to win domestic trophies

But this is totally different. Spurs have never been expected to win the CL and have been written off throughout the competition and boy is that working for them!

If you were the favourites for the final and you were playing let’s say Anderlecht (for some crazy reason) you’d lose it. But this is perfect for you - pressure is off, you can’t bottle anything

God you're getting desperate now...

Spent all summer trying to wum spurs fans about no signings, how we're not gonna finish top 4, how we're gonna fall off eventually (probably bitter because we remained a CL side well you slid into mid-table, as everybody predicted)

Now we've finished top 4 (with no home stadium, terrible injury record) and made the CL final you want to make it seem like one big fluke to remove the egg on your face

It will still be there no matter how many 'bites' you get in your bizarre obsession with spurs on this site

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Find one single example of when I’ve said you won’t finish top 4 this season. I’ve never said that. I consistently said you wouldn’t win the PL when Sandy and a few others were celebrating your inevitable success last year

Spurs have a side as good as Liverpool's to man, better in some areas, so no, it's not a fluke that a team with the quality that Spurs have and with a top calibre manager in Poch, reaches the final.

A side with Fernando Llorente up front and Kieron Trippier at right back getting to the CL final isn’t a fluke? Of course it is - it’s a miracle.

How many points behind Liverpool are Spurs in the PL this season? They’re nowhere near as good as Liverpool. Even Spurs fans would secretly admit that

Hats off to the crazy gang if they do it of course. Llorent up front, Trippier and Rose as full backs, Dele Alli has been playing like he’s at MK Dons this season, they haven’t had Kane for much of the latter stages and they’ve got Foyth and Ben Davies to bring off the suns bench

Poch is an absolute managerial genius to get this side to a final. He’s the Brian Clough of our time and all Sandy wants is for Levy to sack him. You couldn’t make it up

i think leicester were more the right place right time team than spurs. while they had a good year the top six all had an off year allowing them to sneak it.
Tottenham have a good team no doubt. most teams need a little luck at some point in a competition and this year both finalist got it.
but man city ajax and barca definitely got just what they deserved... to be eliminated.

You could argue for both montleeds. Real Madrid are rebuilding as are Juve and Bayern. Barcelona are set for an overhaul - if Spurs don’t win it now they never will

Not sure why you think Juve are rebuilding?

Because they need to rebuild their entire defence for a start?

To be honest I stand by it. If Spurs win the CL with the likes of Llorente, Davies, Foyth, Trippier and an awful Dele Alli in the side then he’s produced a miracle. He should be up there with Brian Clough.

Such a shame people like Sandy wanted him gone

I wouldn't call it a miracle because we had already established ourselves as a very good team for the past few seasons, with some top players. But yes, what Poch has done to get us there has been exceptional and would deserve all the credit he gets if we win it, or even if we don't.

Given what he’s had to work with this season it’s a miracle. Facking Llorente upfront?? Spurs hasn’t established themselves as a force in Europe before

Ooh that’s rubbish. Rubbish!! You want bloody shooting!! Brian Clough?!
Now listen here young man. You think Cloughie would be looking at Poch as his equal?!
I like Poch a lot. Spurs lucky to have him.
But we talking a man amongst other things, won Back to Back European Titles!

That’s another level my guy.

Ok maybe not Clough YET - but it’s getting there, especially in this day and age of huge spending power

Llorente isn't exactly Shane Long you know. He's an experienced striker who's played in the top European competitions before and has done well in spells in the top 3 leagues in Europe.

You don't need to be a force in Europe, you just need to be a good team.

Llorentes last club was Swansea City. He hasn’t been any good for about 5 years

You’re a decent side but a CL trophy is an absolute miracle. Lap it up - won’t last forever

This is true, and also, wasn’t Clough the first to smash the Million pound mark for Trevor Francis?
But yeh, for sure Pochs brand will go through the stratosphere, made for life.
There will be a staute of him for sure.. go nice next to Sol... I mean, Bentley...um... Actually i dunno who they have as a statue.

Stop looking at history - you’ve been gash this season and you know it. Scraped 4th by the skin of your teeth playing horrendously for the past 2 months. You look woeful, have spent fack all, won nothing of any importance since like 1991 or something and somehow Poch is pulling off a miracle with the likes of Trippier and Davies at his disposal

I believe the new Khan came in and told Fayed to take his statue and stick it where the sun don't shine.. so last i heard it was inside Harrods someplace..

And well, with all the drama recently, most probably melted down.

We havent been "gash" all season. After 25 games we were 2nd, above City and 4 pts off the top.

If you want the definition of gash, just loot at Leicester, a further 25 point behind us then....in fact we had 5 more points in February than Leicester ended up with in May Gashceister City
