You got a good amount shots off at us to be fair although Romero wasn't troubled, we should've conceded on more than one occasion.

Was too easy to get at you on the break though, any attack with pace and we were in.

Thought at the end of last season that he was very poor and becoming more convinced that hes near the end. Hope not but just doesnt have the influence he did at start of last season

That was simply because we didn't have anyone else.

When he played bad, we played bad because no one else is creative.

When you consider his age he should be a 35 game a season player and then rested with able deputies.

I'm convinced his downturn was down to us not getting in other creative players, the pressure then ALL fell on him.

Also, what other people seem to forget is that little runt Saiz was excellent at drawing defenders giving Pablo a split second more time to exploit and show his quality.

Klich, Alioski, Costa, for Forshaw, Douglas and either Roofe or Bamford (those two don’t work well together imo). A proper centre back or we hope the new kid can at least replace Berra.

That said we had a few chances today and their keeper made two very good stops.

Big difference in quality though but that’s expected with the £ difference.

The gulf was always going to show, plus we are half a sqaud.

I suspect our opponents in the Championship were watching today and will have learned quite a lot. Let Leeds have the ball at the back, then press them in midfield. Run at the defence and they will back off. When they attack they leave huge gaps at the back so counter attack with pace. Play corners in at pace and get your big players to make late runs in to the box as Leeds have no proper CBs
Not sure what we have learned from the exercise. Hopefully that we definitely need some CBs, Forshaw loses the ball too often in key areas (think we already knew) and we need someone who can score

3 games, 3 injuries and weve only got 2 first team centre backs, 1 of which is injury prone and the other is a rookie at this level. We're making the same mistakes all over again only worse as we've lost the leagues BEST defender.

I think journeying, and the fact they've been there a few days more than us, exaggerated the "gulf" a fair bit. It does concern me as we have the journey in reverse to come and then only a few days until the kick off. A few days to recover and also gel with those who did not make the trip.

They said we played some nice stuff and matched them when we attacked them. We just looked very vulnerable on the break and at set pieces.

The commentators were very pro Man Utd as you would expect but they did say we played some nice football at times in the first half. They also acknowledged that we should probably have scored in the first half. Not quite as biased as I had feared!

Player was going nowhere, doing nothing Shaun, I will be livid if he does similar in the league.

thing about the cooper pen was you could see what was gonna happen from 5 yards away and their player just waited on him to hit. Wish there had been another couple of minutes at the end cos i think if he got the chance berardi was gonna break young in half

As I said last week, Bera's days are numbered at the club, even Wakey cannot argue he has a future based on his two displays in pre-season. If White isn't better than that you've got to be questioning why he's come.

Yes Shaun, somebody on FB telling me to lay off Cooper, he played 39 games last season. made the team of the season etc.
It seems some have a blind spot when it comes to certain players and will defend them no matter what. How many times does he have to have a brain fade before we acknowledge he is not up to the job

The players will still not be fully adjusted to time difference before making even more debilitating journey back home shortly followed by another 10 hour or so round trip to Calgiari for the sake of one more match.

We did look very good attacking wise at times and the last 20 mins of the first half especially we were the better side and looked dangerous.

That said, defensively we were opened up....but we were playing a team that cost about 700 million and we had Dallas and Berardi in there who shouldn't be!
