Q2 - If Eriksen was the midfielder we wanted why are we only acting now..???
Cheaper every day closer to the window closing.

Not really seen as though the foreign window has 3 more weeks.
It really does make our transfer window a bit of a joke imo

-- Considering rest of Europes window doesn't close to end of Aug??
Q1 - Would you take this deal?
....................
No. We need a DM more than we need Eriksen.

Q2 - If Eriksen was the midfielder we wanted why are we only acting now..???
.....................
There has been no evidence that I have seen, that Spurs were willing to sell or that he was available or that we were after him.
..................
Q3 - If we do sign Eriksen, is Pogba on his way out?
.......................
No one is after Pogba, with anything serious.
Q4 - Is the story just made up because there’s not much time left in the window and we’re fished in the market but our name sells the most papers/gets the most clicks?
Perhaps we have actually shown an interest in Fernandes all summer but he wants to move to Spurs? We've therefore said we won't bid for Fernandes (giving Spurs a free run) on the proviso we're able to buy Eriksen (who may have indicated he wants to play for United).

Think he only has a year left on contract...plus also sure that ive seen that hes said he would consider leaving this summer
If we sign an AM then it makes the Mata contract renewal a bit pointless if you ask me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the club actively encourages these kind of 'clicks' and 'mentions' on social media by delaying transfers a bit.
Sign a player on Thursday and then unveil him on Friday becoming the big news of the day rather than the PL opening game on the Friday night.

................
If that were the case you would think there would be an interest from the major clubs all round Europe.
Maybe they have all heard of Danny.
Maybe Levy will offer Eriksen and £27m for Pogba
Manchester United are considering a late move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen before Thursday's transfer deadline, Sky Sports News understands.
There has not been any direct contact between the clubs over a deal yet but United are still looking to sign a new midfielder after losing Ander Herrera to PSG earlier this summer.
The Denmark international's potential move to Old Trafford is not dependant on Paul Pogba leaving the club and United currently expect the midfielder to stay, one source has told SSN.
With just one year remaining on his contract, Spurs are prepared to sell Eriksen in this window and there were talks with Real Madrid.
---------------------------------
Nice use of the word 'considering' to cover their backs if it turns out to be nonsense.

Who in Europe both wants and can afford him? Nobody that is why we are in this position.
United seem to want him and can afford him. Their isn't really another option unless Real Madrid can punt Bale or someone else valuable.
So vague isn't it, it's almost like Sky sources don't actually have anything to base the story on
I personally don't think anything is in this rumour. Ed has also avoided dealing with Levy and Levy doesn't like us. So this will not happen at all.
Don't know why you all do this to yourselves.
Our opening day midfield is going to be Matic, Pogba and Lingard.

No, it will be Matic, Mctominay and then Mata in front of them.
Pogba will still be injured or not fit yet or something.
Matic, Fred and Mata anyone?
Q1 - Would you take this deal?
Absolutely - Quality player.
Q2 - If Eriksen was the midfielder we wanted why are we only acting now..???
Some signings only occur once the agent has privately leaked information their client is ready for a change. I'm sure Tottenham personnel are not pleased.
Q3 - If we do sign Eriksen, is Pogba on his way out?
No. Nobody has bothered to even place a bid for Pogba, as they know it'd take over £100m+.
Now that Twitter has all but confirmed the signing, I'm excited for him joining.
vs Chelsea I'd go something like;
DDG
AWB Maguire Lindelof Shaw
Savic
Fernandes Pogba
Eriksen
Rashford Martial
Diamond formation.
I think it's made up tbh, nothing concrete and history suggests Levy would not sell to us, maybe in January after exhausting other options.
However, if it were a realistic option at £60m that's a great deal on today's market.
*Dybala to come off the bench as he hasn't really had a pre-season yet.
60m in today's market seems quite good
Hes a talented lad despite his underwhelming form last season
