Reading that Brendan Rodger managed to get the transfer of Dennis Praet over the line on deadline day. The attacking midfielder cost the club £18m.

Leicester have had the ideal prep for this game with a good friendly against Atalanta last week then fully focused on the Wolves game.

We have had warm ups against poor opposition in Crusaders and Pyunik and a 6,000 mile round trip in the last couple of days. Far from ideal to me.

Hopefully we will arrive in good shape and our quality will see us through. I am really surprised Leicester haven’t bought in a centre back to replace Maguire. That could be their Achilles heel.

Well optimists would say that Maguire wasn’t that great at defending anyway and we invested substantially in two new, young, CB’s at the start of last season - specifically for the eventuality of losing Maguire.

Pessimists would say that we’re not really sure whether those two young CB’s are good enough or whether they break too easily.

I’ll reserve judgement until I see them play.

Gutted we didn’t just take he plunge with Tarkowski but we did attempt to buy him and enquired about Dunk and Ake but we’re quotes ludicrous prices for all three.

We also tried to make provisions last year for the potential loss of Maguire with the purchases of Benkovic and Soyuncu for a combined fee of £32m.

I do worry that we are a little light but I guess he mentally may be, what was the point in spending a huge amount of money on two new CBs if we aren’t going t let them develop; allowing inexperienced players at this level to come through has been part of our ethos in recent years.

In addition, our owner/chairman has seemingly continued his father’s ideology with regard to transfers - firstly steering us away from the label of a ‘selling club’ which is often linked to middle-sized clubs and more importantly, making it clear that we would not sell unless we were ready, it was for the right price or the player was not seen as imperative in our future plans (cite Mahrez, Maguire and Drinkwater respectively) or we would not purchase players at ludicrous prices (cite the defenders mentiones above.

Ideally, Morgan would have been a couple of years younger to strengthen the depth that we had, as we bring through Benkovic and Soyunchu but hopefully Johnny Evans (who I believe is up there with one of the many great steals we have purchased) will provide that support and rapid learning curve for the two of them.

I think we will win 4-0.....

Certainly don't see a Wolves win this weekend and would be delighted with a draw

I think Leicester will be strong this season, but Im clinging to the hope that we will catch them at a good time before the new signings bed in and they're still unsettled with the loss of Maguire.

Obviously Asia trophy and Europa games against Crusaders and Pyunik are nothing like Premier league games but we do look sharp and are scoring goals, which is no bad thing. I think we might just nick a win, 1-2 to the Wanderers

Well this is nice, Wolves and Foxes all playing peacefully.
I genuinely wish Leicester well for this season. I hope they finish above Everton but below us

Too close to call for me, as a Leicester fan you think the Europa games might put Wolves off their game.

I'd be happy with a draw.

I don't think Maguire will affect us too much.

Yeah all good mate. Definitely excited for the new season, think Wolves and Leicester will be close alongside Everton - hopefully we’ll all finish above United

Interesting last night to how the current championship champions kicked off their campaign. Can't see them finishing 7th can you? Some awful defending but looked dangerous going forward.

The nonsensical phrase, they won the second half comes to mind, they'll need to be a bit more savvy to survive though and they will have learnt a lesson last night.

I'm hoping Wolves have a hangover from their European excursions, it could easily have an impact (as many teams have found out before). That may allow us to close the gap.

It will be interesting to see how Harry's move to United affects us. I expect us to change slightly going forward, but the defence will hopefully be at least of similar standard.

Oldgoldilox - I expect Norwich to be in a relegation battle (also Sheffield Utd). A 4-1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield is hardly a shock, but if they played well in parts and looked dangerous going forward, they may be able to harvest some points against the lesser teams.

It's a shame Leicester have become a selling club, at a time when even clubs like Palace and Watford seem to be able to fend off interest in their better players.

Definitely a club going backwards. A real shame for the fans after a promising couple of years.

This is a serious concern that many of us have discussed. It’s actually affected my sleeping pattern for many months now.

Why can’t we invest in our training facilities more?
Why can’t we look to bring through young, quality players?
Why can’t we sell players on our terms?
Why can’t we have owners who are genuinely committed to our club and not just in it for a quick buck or treat it like a play thing?
Why the hell can’t we find talent for a reasonable price?
Why can’t we be in position where we think ‘yeah, that player is a top 6 player and is in our team?
Why the hell aren’t our youth team producing anything?
Why can’t we, just for once, have an established striker who is one of the best in the league over several seasons?
And why, other than the players that had come through for the PL winning season, haven’t we continued to scout in the same way!?

It genuinely p1sses me off.

If we finished above 19th, I’d be very surprised.
