It was good, albeit Jose-like tactics
The key is if he knew Salah wasn’t playing as with 3 at the back against the usual Liverpool front three would have been tactical suicide. If he knew or juggled with the tactics when he found out on the day he does get some credit.
Jose tactics with a thread bare squad, Jose played like that having spent half a billion and a fully fit team.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he’s known as one of the best counter attacking coaches out there and that’s how he plays. It’s normal for him. And more often than not he gets results with it which is why he was the best big game manager we’ve had since SAF left.
If this is how Ole wants to play, fair enough but we also have to accept that his tactics were what lost us 3 points as he bottled it in the last 20 mins.
And why do people bring up money spent with Jose?
I thought the vast majority of his signings were bad. You can’t have both.
I liked it because it was fair. Gave credit where it was due, withheld it where it wasn't.
And does not know if Ole has what it takes to achieve success, neither does anyone else really.

But the argument here was that he had an advantage over Ole because he had £400 million of signings
If they were rubbish how was that an advantage? 🤔
I'm not sure he bottled it (how I hate that phrase); Klopp countered with changes that started to work, so Ole tried to counter those. He may have made the wrong decision, but I'm not sure he bottled it.
I don't think there is any doubt that so far Ole has bought better. But there will be bad buys down the line, even the great one made some.
You nullified our full backs, meaning that our best attacking outlet to support our front three was gone. We usually play three cloggers in midfield to cover for those fullbacks, meaning that if we have no attacking threat from the fullbacks, it's not coming from the midfield either.
That's why we played so much better with Chambo / Keita / Lallana on and eventually scored the goal. Was the earliest substitution Klopp has made in a game for a long time and pretty sure that was why.
Because now we had to get rid of them and start anew.
Sheffield United and Napoli both did the same playing wing backs to push trent and robbo back.

This might be one of the most daft things you've ever posted on here.
Spaffing £400m on duds isn't an advantage. The advantage is actually being given money. It stops being an advantage if you spend it badly. Jose blew his advantage on a bunch of failed signings. Only you could attempt to be confused by this.

Ole was forced to due to the state we're in... Jose chose to and spent the money with the intention of playing this way... And still fűcked it up because he made bad buys
