It could well be a remainer trying to stir the pot, I wouldn't put it past that Automatic guy, he's chuffing obsessed with racism.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s it, blame it on everyone else, f*cking apologist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't you read? I said could.

Dear Lord, I've lost count the number of articles where you have produced evidence of wrongdoing by whitey to justify wrongdoings committed by minorities.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of your own.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't make sense, can you please expand?

I've not experienced it but I know of people through work who have been in environments in which the majority of people at their work place are Polish and all speak Polish. I don't agree with what the poster says but I think that's a shame if an English resident is made to feel foreign in England. It's kind of on the same lines as what John Cleese said I suppose. I don't consider myself racist for thinking that though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it not normal if the majority of people speak one language that the majority of speech will be in that language?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't mind colonising, stealing people, wealth and resources for centuries and exporting English language and forcing people to adopt English in their own homelands.

If being made to feel foreign is a concern perhaps we should have considered the consequences of actions. We've been lumbered with some loads that we can't just wish away.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
FFS how long do we have to pay for our fathers, fathers, fathers, fathers, fathers actions?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You haven’t paid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not about paying, why look at it like that? The world is moulded in the image of the powers that have controlled it. Its about being realistic. What happens today is always a repercussion of yesterday. No action without reaction. Sometimes reaction is delayed.

English people are free to speak English all over the world, and there's millions of them, me included. Nobody cares or feels "foreign in their own country". Why should the reverse be the case?

I work an international job and I don't fancy going to different countries and being advised that I must speak the lingo or depart that country.

But yeah, let's take back control of our racism, eh?

That poster just sums up the feelings of some British people that disagree with open door immigration.

People born in this country (particularly the older generations) have seen their standard of living drop, as millions of extra people have flooded into the UK, putting a massive strain on infrastructure etc.

The country is over populated and so there is a shortage of housing, the roads are overly congested, a trip to the shops is now a majorly stressful task, there is limited parking space. People are waiting weeks to see the doctor, people are waiting months for hospital appointments, crime rates are still too high etc etc.

Immigration is the reason Brexit was swung in the favour of leave, many people blamed immigration for the above and had enough of it.

These are not necessarily my own opinions but just the way I see it.

On the subject of foreigners speaking their native tongue in front of people when they can speak English, that is just plain rude. If they come here, they should at least learn to speak the language.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Billy, the standard of living has risen 10 fold to what it was before the war, when there was barely a foreign person on the country. And it is very hypocritical to think everybody in England should have to speak English, when pretty well 99 per cent of English people, when they go abroad, cannot speak the language of the country that they go to, and expect everybody to speak English. Not on mate.

The reasons the roads are overcrowded, is because there are two many cars, mostly driven by white English people. Not because their are too many foreigners.

Absolutely Brexit was swung by the racists, and if that is say only 10 per cent of the population, then still a huge number and something like two million racists amongst us. Absolutely nothing to be proud of.

How are we heading that way ? Very minority isolated incidents have occurred, but in general racism is nothing compared to what it was during that era. I think you are grappling onto something that doesn’t exist. I’m not denying there isn’t racist incidents in the country. I’m not denying certain individuals use Brexit as a platform to expose racism, but to sit there and say because of Brexit, we are heading back to the racism of the 70s/80s is about as simple minded as one can get. These far right racists have been around long before Brexit, nothing has changed.

Maybe yes, which would be deemed a foreign environment for someone who doesn't speak that language.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it wouldn't. What does it matter to anybody if people speak another language to each other? You don't have to listen to what people are saying if they aren't speaking to you. Sounds like somebody is annoyed that they can't listen in to somebody's conversation, so they get annoyed. Or they are just xenophobic and annoyed somebody is speaking another language.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People can speak to others in whatever language they want but it's a shame if one is made to feel left out or alienated through limited communication when they are English and are working in this country. I think immigrants should at least try and embrace our language, and to be fair a lot of them do, which is fine.

What about the millions of immigrants that work and pay taxes into the system? It's only papers like The Daily Mail and Daily Express that would have you believe people who come here to claim benefits are anything more than a tiny minority.

What about the immigrants that rent their homes from private landlords? Often landlords are from the older generation you mentioned.

And having lived in France, while I made a huge effort to speak French and never expected a French person to speak English to me, when I was with family we spoke English together including in public. To do anything else would have been daft.

That example is not my own experience. I don't work in that environment, I've just heard off other people who have. Although I did work once in a factory where I was possibly the only white English person there, and everyone else was of African or Polish descent. We all spoke English.

I never said these were my opinions if you read it properly.

I also never mentioned benefits. The facts are the country is over crowded and infrastructure is fit to burst, tax payers or not, English speaking or not these are the facts. Some people blame that on immigration, which is why the country voted leave.
