Most 'right wing' people I know believe that there should be equality of opportunity, not total equality.
If those from poorer backgrounds are able to work to move up in the world, then surely that's the way to go?

Because more often than not those from poorer backgrounds will never have that opportunity, all because they were unfortunate enough to be born into poverty.

Whilst MPs should absolutely be moved to a DC scheme, their DB scheme is fairly industry standard.
Also, you know there is heavy taxation involved for people that save over £1m in a pension?
Before you shout £1m IS LOADS OF MONEY, in pension terms it really isn't. Would provide an income of less than the UK average over 30 years and that is the maximum you can hold without penal taxation.

Isn't this exactly the point, its about being smart and waiting for the right time, waiting until one is financially secure enough. To bring a child into the world if you dont have the finances to cope is akin to child abuse in my book
