You expect them to go bust?

posted on 18/3/20

No.

I expect these are contingency measures to do everything they can to survive. They’ll do what they have to.

Others will have to follow

Ginger, entirley agree

Said earleir that I'd spoke to a family member of a Hearts player and its still in a bit turmoil atm

I doubt if many teams can survive a couple of months without drastic action.

The most likely outcome here is that Celtic will end up in a new British Premiership or Championship next season. There will be a Scottish league formed of the few remaining teams left.
Cormack might put some money in to get Aberdeen into the big league. He has the advantage that his money is in the US and he'll buy sterling like confetti in a month or two if he can find a way to get it over here.

Sounds unlikely at this stage. They might need to take drastic action in London.

Currently trawling through Ozark on Netflix. Somebody on here mentioned it. Pretty good watch.

Yeah like France and Italy, rumours, could be pash. BUT...a two week lock down this early might be the smart thing to do.

Haven’t they scrapped the meat, deli, cafe and fast food areas to make more room to stock the pasta, beans, tinned tomatoes, loo rolls etc?

My concern if they close down completely is that it won’t be two weeks. It’ll be a couple of months.

Most people won’t have a job after that. And there’ll be fwck all of any industries left to come back to.

Things will get bad, very bad, but we'll come out the other end, nothings bad for long.

I'll just keep telling myself that.

Italy's death toll from Corona just today was 475, the UK has to order a complete lockdown asap to stop us making the same mistakes.

Can't believe I was making light of this only a week ago.

We have to help people. Of course we do but it has to be at a level that gets them and normal decent businesses through this. There has to be something to come back to.

Or at some point they open the flood gates, accept the deaths and the immune survive to burn the rest - just like a film. I know its not what 'decent' governments do but still.

People working on the vaccine are the most important.

Heard a rumour it's starting tomorrow night, military involvement as well.

Personally can't see it as there's been no civil unrest, riots etc.
