the 20% pay cut is that the Government back 80% of a persons wages up to £2500 pcm. So all the stadium staff are now getting 80% of their wages, effectively from the Government.

What surprises me here is that the employer pays the wages (80%) and claims it back, they have the option to pay the rest of the wages (20%). Spurs have chosen not to so it reads as a 20% reduction when in actual fact its a 100% reduction in our wage bill for non-playing staff.

How this works with Levy is not clear. These other staff have been furloughed as their work is effectively redundant - no need for stewards, bar staff, ticket office etc (in normal circumstances they be made redundant, but are protected here).

Levy as CEO isn't redundant, he's still running the club. It's not clear if he is taking any cut. Is he even Staff?

On balance, much has been made of his £3m bonus, but actually delivering the stadium was an epic undertaking and that figure is in our books for the 2018/19 season, so paid ages ago, not this year.

don't think i have ever fully recovered from the non performance in the CL final. biggest game of our history / lives.. and these priiiiickkksss didn't even show up for the final. Liverpool were awful and there for the taking and we were even worse. cost me about 2k to get to Madrid and get accommodation too....

just cant be facked with them any more, and the way they threw poch under the bus just cemented it for me. will still renew my season ticket though, like an idiot.

To be fair Spurs have not been great for the whole of 2019, the final was pretty well par for the course.

However, a few new players in now, so we don`t really know how it will pan out next season. Signs that some of our new players, Lo Celso, Bergwyn are looking decent buys, so with a fully fit Kane back by the time footie resumes, he would have had nearly a year`s rest, so should be raring to go, and I expect a much better season next year.

Yes he’s classed as a director which took paycuts

Ah yes.. read the annoncement in full:

"to reduce the remuneration of all 550 non-playing directors and employees for April and May by 20% utilising, where appropriate, the Government’s furlough scheme. We shall continue to review this position."

So directors take 20% cut. As do other staff, albeit that the club now pay none of their wages.

Occasional reader on the boards and lockdown boredom has made me sign up... that and wanting an outlet to echo some sentiments here about Levy.

Appreciate many things he has done for the club but am at a moment where I genuinely do not care. Think it is an entirely wrong & disgusting move made which has made me ashamed to be a spurs fan. To not even cover the other 20%, if the players do not do something about this then i'm mentally checked out. Just morally outrageous.

Everyone has to do a minimum of 4 weeks ( basic training ) luckily he won the Asian games so got exempt from doing the normal 2 years

We do not know what's happened.

We dont know if the players have been approached about a pay cut and said, do one! so the burden then falls on the other staff.

On the one hand i am surprised THFC have not soaked up the cost on the non-playing staff, but actually all these staff are pretty much been paid for doing nothing.

He’s delivering on the financial side Sandy but I couldn’t careless about Spurs being the 8th richest club in the world mate. It does nothing to me or you as a supporter. We won the 8th richest club in the world trophy, wow how exciting. It certainly hasn’t changed the way we operate in the market. The quicker we get owners in that actually want to spend to push forward and win trophies, the better it will be. Levy and ENIC are not interested in winning major honours and never have been. You only need to listen to Levy’s interviews with the Spurs supporters trust to see through it. Constantly deflecting blame and talking about how we have no right to be where we are etc etc. A proper chairman who has ambitions to win trophies and push forward would be talking of the club pushing to be the best. Levy couldn’t give a f** aslong as he’s showing a healthy bank balance every month.

Very well said, Don. Couldn't say it better myself!
Sandy seems to spend his time looking at his seat in the new stadium rather than what's on the pitch!

Unfortunately as long as Spurs produces income Levy & Lewis won't sell up.
So us fans who want to see a winning Spurs team will first have to hope for relegation or some other catastrophe before that will happen!
