Maybe you could pull every hypothetical out yerarse. Doesn’t change the fact he shouldn’t be gobbing off in the press. I also don’t take kindly to the fatcunt’s assumption that me and my fellow fans will ignore social distancing to celebrate. Good to see our elected mayor trusts the residents of the city.
-----------------------------------
No, he understands what the residents of your city are like.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he’s just lost himself an awful lot of votes then

In mitigation, the survey was based on speaking to around 2,000 people in the city centre, which while being a reasonable number, cannot definitively be said to be representative of a city of well over half a million people.
Probably conducted on a day when Liverpool were at home as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The survey was conducted by Everton for their new stadium. Why would they carry it out on a day when we’re at home
As a side note given so many pool fans are here right now, are Liverpool actually in some form of fiscal concern right now?
I know Henry given he’s so involved with Sports is hurting everywhere right now and with the markets the way they are his investment firm can’t be doing all that well.
But the retracted furlough, media reports there’ll be no cash for klopp, is there actually a bit of a credit crunch over there?

Surely the lower leagues want the next season to start on time properly ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only Prem clubs can survive without fans in stadiums for a prolonged period. Even Leeds and West Brom need gates to make ends meet, TV alone is not enough.
Clubs below the Championship are facked unless a cure/vaccine is found. They rely almost entirely on gates. Only a bail out can save them and they know it. Starting next season behind closed doors will be more expensive than hibernating for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good job the PL are able to fund the championship clubs with a £125m bail out thanks to the TV money from the completion of the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, the Prem can sort everyone out so long as they don't have enough problems of their own.
I'm sure there will be plenty of clubs having a relatively quiet transfer window.

Its not just Liverpool, its nearly all clubs, maybe except City.
Clubs will decide to do whatever secures their financial future, period. They won't want to hear anything else IMO.
True but the ones who tried to furlough in the PL made sense....except Liverpool.
It was expected from Sprs and Newcastle because they're owned by a tax evader and a slave trader respectively.
I can only assume Liverpool were expecting all the other clubs would do it too.

I also don`t get the idea that the season could be finished of in three weeks by playing at neutral venues. What about the FA Cup, CL and the Europa Leagues. Or don`t they count now as part of the season.
Either all competitions have to finish properly, or none finish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they don't at all. The league is the big prize and clubs spend a fortune to compete in it. The euro comps will likely finish off in a tournament format given the few teams left. The fa cup? Maybe something similar.
Norwich, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Sheffield United would probably prioritise the FA Cup
So when there is 3 or 4 games left and most teams have nothing to play for. So they will be playing in an empty ground and at a neutral venue. That’s going to be a must watch game. Prob about 80% of the matches are just going to turn into a training match. When these matches are play in front of fans. At least abit of pride comes into play.

So we should what? Not bother then? And then we may as well not bother with next season either. Fun times ahead.
That's why group celebrations will be banned

Good grief.
So you now admit there IS a chance of players passing on the virus to each other when playing football.
So you must also agree that by ignoring social distancing guidelines when playing football, players will also be at risk infecting each other with all that sweat, spit and close contact flying around.
Or has all this social distancing malarky we have all being doing is a load of BS.
The more you Liverpool fans go around in circles trying to find a way to get yourselves over the line, the more unfeasible a restart becomes.

Of all the arguments the stupidest has to be the players passing on the virus on the field
Ignoring the fact they won't be on the field if they have the virus or course.

What if serval players are diagnosed as asymptomatic, do we delay kick off for 14 days?

No they miss the game, as they would if they had come down with any other illness.
Look at what has happened at Cologne in Germany for example. Three players test positive, they isolate and the rest carry on training.

They will be quarantined for weeks prior to the first game not to mention regular testing. So the odds of picking up the virus will be very remote indeed.
They would have to be quarantined as individuals, not as a group which means having zero contact with their families or anyone other than a healthcare professional.
I wonder how many players will sign up for that?
Zero contact? I'm sure they'll be allowed a video call.
I'm still laughing at the FA's idea of players arring at the ground in their kit and only being allowed to eat takeaways before the game.
Goodbye to a communal meal followed by the camaraderie of the team bus..
Hello to pulling up in your car and being offered a kebab from Abdul's on the end of a 10 foot pole.

They will be quarantined as a squad, just like they would during an international tournament. Will they want to? I don't see they would have a choice if their employers tells them to.
How many players in Belarus have picked up the virus so far anyway?
