Whilst we are on news, the lad will not be staying at Celtic. He's heading to the US to play College football.

All started in Feb. Said he was bored not having any brain stimulus. We'd long discussed it as a possibility as a backup and, as the virus took hold and it was obvious the football world was falling apart with a doubtful future, it made more and more sense to just do it.

He still wants to return to the pro game after graduation and will probably play the USL league 2 during the summer because the college season is weird and it's what most of the serious guys do.

He was inundated with interest including Ivy league Unis but did not want the academic pressure. Has chosen one in the top quartile of division 1 in North Carolina. Full ride for the duration - that's $220k worth over 3.5 years before the summer league thing so probably worth more than he'd get playing pro at this time?

Guess I'll be watching games in the middle of the night now? And will head over for some too seeing as Miss Silver is off to the home of golf. At this rate I'll be looking for work again!

Aye, I've learnt a lot! It really takes a lot of time. We compressed it only because we were able to send lots of video and his playing career was a passport. Coaches all wanted to come and see games but they all got kyboshed by the travel bans except the guy from Duke that came in and the Rangers game he came to see was cancelled with 3hrs notice - same weekend as the Ibrox game.

So impressed with much of it already. Many have better facilities than our big 2 here.

Doubtful! We realise he's making the journey harder. The boy Gutman we have won almost every honour and award in the college game and he is not getting a game.

First off, is Lauders pregnant? Or is it the Mrs and do I need a DNA test?




Silver, terrific news mate, something I considered years ago, not as tempting back then as now. I know a boy coaching over there now if you need me to pass on his number, he’s a Motherwell fan, good lad though.
