A European Super League would be amazing, I don't get why so many fans are against it. All the top teams playing each other week in week out in a league format would be quality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be a dream for Arsenal fans for instance finishing 18th out of 18 maybe winning a couple of games and good old Stan reaping millions more by charging fans even more to watch it.

Thing is with a European super league, you are going to have 18 of the biggest clubs in European football with only one club coming out as a winner(football wise).

Would fans of clubs who are serial winners domestically really tolerate their club finishing midtable or lower season after season.

One winner of a title,18 billionaires getting richer and the fans of these teams getting royally fooked over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Salary caps and a draft system solve this, each year give the lower placed teams first pick of the non-super league playing players to join their team.

I don't actually think a draft system would work like it does in America, but a salary cap would go a long way in allowing there to be different winners regularly.

I guess you want Everton in the Championship because the Premier League is a cash cow too?

A European Super League would be an utter disaster. There own fans would bin it off and see it for what it is, disgusting sickening greed that would alienate fans who'd be priced out of following them.

In this current world too.

Utd and Liverpool should be ashamed of themselves. The likes of Arsenal and Spurs would be destroyed every week and it's not like Utd are attractive to elite players anymore.

I take it you want your team in the super league to make Stan richer?

Or do you believe your side would be more competitive in a European Super League?

Can't see a salary cap or a draft system work either, the biggest teams would always wan't the competitive edge of having deeper pockets than others in the league.

Suppose they'd rather play Juventus on Saturday instead of Burnley
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With millions of people losing jobs including football fans it comes across as poisonous greed. Not playing Burnley ok, I'll pay to travel around Europe all season just to watch us get spanked by PSG and Bayern🤢🤮

Well of course if they were not going to get the Premier League and English game to adhere to it they would take it a step further and go to UEFA/FIFA and get all the big boys involved. Think of the finances involved for these clubs as well as FIFA, it's going to happen.

If anyone on this thread does actually go to the match...live...in a stadium... when allowed...

Are you really prepared for the increased cost of the tickets you are paying for currently!!!

This will price so many match-going fans of these teams out of seeing their team live!!

Please don't be taken in with the idea of 'well my team is in the club so screw everyone else'

As my team IS in the club and this is the last thing I want!

Nothing to do with Arsenal, a competition with clubs like Barca, Real, Juventus, Bayern and all the rest playing each other home and away in a league format would be amazing. Never understood why so many fans see it as something evil. Yeah it's about money too but that doesn't mean everything that generates a lot of money is a bad product.

You'd finish bottom every season, can't even beat the top 6 in the league in your own country. You'll soon get sick of that and longing for the good old days. Spurs would get destroyed too.

Villa`s team from 1889 would have got invited, but a century and a half to late.

Somebody earlier mocked better playing Juve this weekend than Burnley.

I hope they realise that in this new league if it happens then there's every possibility their team could be the Burnley of the league.

Their team could be the team that is always last on MOTD

I don't care about that. I've been in favour of the concept of a European Super League for a long time, it's not about Arsneal. But I take it you weren't celebrating when you got promoted to the evil money grabbing premier league?

People will pay it though. These clubs have that many fans around the world, people will pay and watch them as ridiculous as it sounds, especially against the best of the best in Europe.

When I had a season ticket at Liverpool we had people coming from Norway, China and all over the place sat around us sometimes to watch. Fans will travel and pay to watch their side just because somebody else won't.

That's a testament to how big these clubs are and probably one of the reasons they are doing it.

I cannot think of anything more boring than the same teams playing each other year after year with no relegation. Half the teams are not top teams anymore anyway. United and Arsenal are not top teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona have both very average sides now.

Real Madrid lost at home to Cadiz at the weekend FFS. United have just been smashed 6-1 by Spurs on their home patch, Liverpool got mashed by Villa 7-2. And Arsenal well they are just hopeless, they would finish bottom year after year.

would they really let in 6 english teams if theres only 18 spots, if not spurs are the first to miss out.

The idea of a super league is pointless anyway if there’s no relegation.

In that case Spurs wouldn't be in it because you've actually been worse than Arsenal in the last season and a bit and that's domestically as well.

8/10 games into the season your team is at the bottom of the league and you already have nothing to fight for.

How boring would that be to the average fan.It would be a case of write this season off and wait for the next season, like half the fans of American football do.

Yeah I'm not in favour of no promotion/relegation. I'd have a series of leagues with promotion/relegation. Another thing is that clubs like Ajax, the french and portuguese clubs and others would have the chance of becoming powerhouses again with the revenues from a European super league
