Didn’t quite work as well as other McKay movies but it had some good points. Found it a little hard watching a bunch of millionaires telling us about global warming however.
Cast includes 5 Oscar winners
Leonardo DiCaprio,
Jennifer Lawrence,
Cate Blanchett,
Meryl Streep,
Mark Rylance
Also 2 Oscar nominees - Timothée Chalamet and Jonah Hill
Refreshing. comedy and drama in the right measure
I thought it was brilliant. Probably not one for the right wingers because they are getting mocked.

It was mainly mocking the right - be they Trumpists who didn’t believe in climate change or Covid etc. But the poking of the left was of the billionaires like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg who think they can solve the worlds problems in their own deluded and selfish ways. It had something for everyone but it was predominately a mirror to the face of US Politics and Silicon Valley over the past few years.
Great movie - Definitely took a number of shots at Trump's presidency
That was part of the problem with it, you have someone like Streep who campaigned for Hilary Clinton mocking Trump as if the Democrats would be doing anything about it. Just look at Biden, useless.

Absolutely love him, massive massive actor. I think he is severely underrated. Some people say the Aviator flopped, but its a great movie and Leonardo is simply brilliant in that one. Such a broad spectrum this guy has.

I rewatched Wolf of Wall Street again the other night. How he didn’t get the Oscar for that I do not know. The movie isn’t quite as great as some remember but his performance is superb.

Had me in fecking stitches, that scene driving home drunk. Yeah, should have won an oscar for that one.
Watched it last night. Fun.
Found it a hard watch. This is how the end of the world will probably play out with the nutters who control the planet these days combined with social media.

Jonah Hill stole a lot of the scenes which is probably why.
its actually not as good as any Black Mirror episode. Too far-fetched.
Enjoyed it. Was mostly a pee take of the reps and Trump which is easy to like.
