City and Pool play a way that is perfect for Contes style.
Pack defence and defend in numbers then counter at speed. Reminds me.of Benitez at Liverpool and he had lots of success with it. Problem is it's great against teams that dominate possession but not so much against the lesser teams that sit back. There lies Spurs problem. Was the same with Benitez. You improve a great deal and cup comps def become winnable but finding a solution when Spurs are the dominant team is the tricky part.

I don’t think anyway thinks we are any where near liverpools level ….however you did not dominate us

God, some of you Liverpool fans on here are so bitter. Anti football? You had 3 shots on target ffs 🤦♂️ at home and had to rely on a lucky deflection to bag a draw. You had all that play and did nothing with it. If anything, Spurs looked more likely to bag a winner and should have won it at the the end. Conte is a top coach and had a full week to prep his team for this game.

Exactly and lots of spurs players that get slated against the lesser teams actually did their jobs against the top 2, when they had to be super focused. It's really tricky bridging that gap as you basically need two successful styles of playing. One when u dominate the ball and one without it. Conte excels at the latter but I think he can also create a more expansive style too if backed correctly. Will take lots of hard work but he isnt afraid of that.

Most spurs and Liverpool fans get on fine but it just takes a couple of bells from each camp to trigger the other group by saying some daft 5hit.
Benitez won a CL doing exactly what spurs did yesterday and prob with worse players, and Liverpool fans celebrated each victory against the bigger team. When u can't win a title it's natural u celebrate a good result as it keeps the fans believing progress is being made.
I pray spurs get top 4 cos u know even the most moderate Liverpool fan will relish posting on here, all cos the same couple of spurs fans went a bit OTT.
Why we keep coming back though isn't it be honest 😂

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it but surrendering possession in that way, with eight behind the ball and only pressing in your third with a bank of five and then three (even four at times) and then hoping to hit on the break is indeed anti football and if it isnt, I'd like to know what is.
In fact I'd say it's bitter to be up in arms being labelled as something which is quite clearly accurate.

Okay
Conte is Italian he is always going to favour that style. Even if he had an unlimited budget his team will never play like a Pep or Klopp side. Has similarities with Simeone I'd say, both are winners. Does whatever it takes to win.
When Liverpool went decades without a title they stop caring how they won it they just wanted it! Spurs are the same. If they can have a team playing amazing football great but if they have to be a solid countering team to have a chance of medals I'm sure none will complain. Liverpool didn't when Benitez did it. Can't really blame them. I don't think it wins PLs but spurs are so far behind it'll at least get them way closer.
Not long ago spurs were doing better than Liverpool so the fact a draw is seen as such an amazing result kinda shows how much work they have to do. A step in the right direction though.
They are both great teams but Spurs are probably best equipped to cause them problems in the league.
There’s also a reason Spurs are 5th and miles behind them.

Conte is a top coach and had a full week to prep his team for this game.
We flew back on Wednesday and had 2.5days - even then I expected way more - which tells you how this Klopp team has spoilt us a bit.

City and Pool play a way that is perfect for Contes style.
Pack defence and defend in numbers then counter at speed. Reminds me.of Benitez at Liverpool and he had lots of success with it. Problem is it's great against teams that dominate possession but not so much against the lesser teams that sit back. There lies Spurs problem. Was the same with Benitez. You improve a great deal and cup comps def become winnable but finding a solution when Spurs are the dominant team is the tricky part.

Exactly and lots of spurs players that get slated against the lesser teams actually did their jobs against the top 2, when they had to be super focused. It's really tricky bridging that gap as you basically need two successful styles of playing. One when u dominate the ball and one without it. Conte excels at the latter but I think he can also create a more expansive style too if backed correctly. Will take lots of hard work but he isnt afraid of that.

God, some of you Liverpool fans on here are so bitter. Anti football? You had 3 shots on target ffs 🤦♂️ at home and had to rely on a lucky deflection to bag a draw. You had all that play and did nothing with it. If anything, Spurs looked more likely to bag a winner and should have won it at the the end. I swear you lot expect teams to just roll over for you and when teams do give you a game in which you can’t penetrate us, you seem to be extremely offended. Happy we ended your title hopes now

Most spurs and Liverpool fans get on fine but it just takes a couple of bells from each camp to trigger the other group by saying some daft 5hit.
Benitez won a CL doing exactly what spurs did yesterday and prob with worse players, and Liverpool fans celebrated each victory against the bigger team. When u can't win a title it's natural u celebrate a good result as it keeps the fans believing progress is being made.
I pray spurs get top 4 cos u know even the most moderate Liverpool fan will relish posting on here, all cos the same couple of spurs fans went a bit OTT.
Why we keep coming back though isn't it be honest 😂

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it but surrendering possession in that way, with eight behind the ball and only pressing in your third with a bank of five and then three (even four at times) and then hoping to hit on the break is indeed anti football and if it isnt, I'd like to know what is.
In fact I'd say it's bitter to be up in arms being labelled as something which is quite clearly accurate.

Conte is Italian he is always going to favour that style. Even if he had an unlimited budget his team will never play like a Pep or Klopp side. Has similarities with Simeone I'd say, both are winners. Does whatever it takes to win.
When Liverpool went decades without a title they stop caring how they won it they just wanted it! Spurs are the same. If they can have a team playing amazing football great but if they have to be a solid countering team to have a chance of medals I'm sure none will complain. Liverpool didn't when Benitez did it. Can't really blame them. I don't think it wins PLs but spurs are so far behind it'll at least get them way closer.
Not long ago spurs were doing better than Liverpool so the fact a draw is seen as such an amazing result kinda shows how much work they have to do. A step in the right direction though.

They are both great teams but Spurs are probably best equipped to cause them problems in the league.
There’s also a reason Spurs are 5th and miles behind them.
