I think Kerkez has done ok fwiw, had some bad games but also some good ones.

Kerkez has kept it too safe for me. Not seen those forward runs he used to make for Bournemouth. Some of it is tactical cos allowing Grav to roam means he can't attack as much but that has had mixed results for the team.

We’ve not seen those forward runs, but he was all over the place in his first game. I’m happy for him to be solid right now.

I don’t think he can operate like he would at Bournemouth as we have basically no cover from the midfield.

Yeah seen very little from Kerkez attacking wise I admit- that was disappointing.

Those relentless bombing runs up and down the left for Bournemouth- what’s happened to those?

Yep massive game. Having Bradley and Kerkez with a little more license to get forward and create width with Gravenberch sitting would give us better balance.

The reason is the structure. He is asked to be involved in the build up whilst his game is about bombing forward.

A solution could be splitting the center backs wide in the buildup and forcing opposition forwards wider to press us. This way of building up also moves fullbacks higher and can position wingers like Wirtz to receive the ball in the channels. We did this under Klopp but it requires a traditional 6 like Fabinho.
