unless its tynecastle and the player smacks the ball downwards with his arm.
its not a penalty then.
for me VAR slowing things down clouds real time judgement
Just two chances for them to get it wrong.
I've never really been a fan of VAR and given the standard of our refs it's not a surprise that they are seeing teething problems. The worry is that these teething problems don't get resolved.
i think people are being optimistic about teething problems tbh mate, they are incompetent fools.
can you fix bad judgement?

Exactly how I feel about it mate. They are absolutely useless.
It should be a tool to support the ref, but you just know the VAR guys want to be centre of attention. They'd be raging if a ref went to the VAR screen and said "nah, sorry Willie, no penalty".
for the time taken i think they got the hearts ones spot on, i can see why the CCV one would be difficult because his foot was under the hearts players when you pause it but thats not an accurate represenation of the events.
the one at the weekend, i've no idea what Bernabei is supposed to do.
i feel like its early days and we are discussing refs more rather than less.
Wee Jum also seen his team get a penalty at Celtic Park. He didn't celebrate it for some odd reason
cheers for meeting him with the tickets btw mate

No worries. I barely made it in time for kick off but just got there.
Some oddball told me at full time he was to take the tickets so I just gave him them. Good luck
figured it was the best way to get them back.
Rocked up to your house the other day and was like "wonder if this is it"
then i turn round and see about 9 rubix cubes on a window ledge
"yup, this is it"

Once they move the VAR centre to Edmiston House I imagine the problems will be resolved very quickly.
Scottish players are too clumsy and unskilled for VAR. The game isn't sophisticated enough in Scotland. Things that just went unnoticed because they are just normal for players of that level of skill, are now being picked up on and given as penalties.
It would be like if you were on a night out but had to wear a GoPro and the next day you had to sit down with your mates and replay the whole night and pick holes in it.
Oh you pissssed on the floor there. Penalty
You looked at my bird's tiiits there. Penalty.
Oh this thing has infrared. Dave farted in the pub?? penalty.
You'd be facked if everything was replayed and scrutinised.

I see Celtic refused to release any players for the Scotland friendly due to our trip to Australia.
Something for some to moan about probably.
Rangers accounts-numbers were always going to look better this season due to europa run, money for Patterson and Gerrard. Ashley seems to have got his pound of flesh, and no doubt there’s some other stuff that’s hidden away in there that won’t come out until later.
i'm fine with the players dealing with club commitments over meaningless internationals.

Retro.
Fair fee we got for Gerrard as well. Look well placed to be in profit again next year so can't complain off the pitch.
On it, shambles.
Odd that it says in the accounts that since June, rangers received £19.9 million for Bassey and Aribo and spent £15 million. Pretty sure Ajax stated that the total amount noted was what they said they paid for just Bassey?!

I assume what you meant to write here was that the Scotland national team coach has agreed to not select any Celtic players due to their Australian commitments.
I would like to think a civil, constructive conversation was had rather than Celtic "refusing to release" the players.

Clarke said he never spoke to anyone at Celtic.
‘Asked what contact he had had with the Premiership club, he said: “Personally? None.
It was just a blanket decision. Celtic have just said that none of their players are available for any international games. So all the countries are affected.“‘
