Chucking one more name into the mix - probably cheaper than the ones being discussed above, less proven but looking like he has the right profile and potentially a very high ceiling: Kolo Muani.

Looks a player in fairness.

I really wanted Kane a few years ago, but now no. I doubt his heart will be in it, dodgy ankles, and a bit old. I would like the next couple of signings no older than mid twenties.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair I do think his injury concerns have been exaggerated. He seems pretty durable.

He's not the youngest but I don't think that's an issue.

I also think he'd be motivated at United as well. How best to prove to people he is a winner than to propel United back up to the top?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's actually a deal I can see happening.

I'm sure he will want to stay in the PL also as he has every chance of breaking Shearer's record.

I have reservations but wouldn't go as far as saying I'm against it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Injury record does not worry me, his total lack of pace does a little, but despite being slower than stephen hawking a wheelchair it’s not a key aspect to his game. Would maybe prefer someone for the future but Kane would be a great signing

You need both one ready now, and one for the future

I even think if we were to buy a mid-range striker (someone like Ollie Watkins for example) it'd improve us. Someone who works hard, can link up play OK and is a decent finisher.

Ivan Toney would be another good shout.

Hopefully our recruitment team can come up with something if Kane/Osimhen etc don't come to fruition.

Evan Ferguson looks top notch but probably a year or 2 too early for him.

Get him and Kane. Then we have a back/replacement for Kane as he ages. Probably cost too much though.

Yes, I'd imagine Brighton would ask for huge money and rightly so.

Hopefully we could offset some of that with Martial to Spurs. Or anyone. Get Elanga sold too.

I think we’ll probably look at bringing in a cheap backup striker.

Even if Kane has been one of our best players and our only real source of goals, I still think it's worth questioning whether he is past his best as a goalscorer. Perhaps it's the personnel around him but you cannot argue that he doesn't get himself in goal scoring positions as much anymore.

1 goal in 8 in the CL this season isn't what you'd expect from him and slowly the PL stat starting to look less impressive than it did compared to where Kane was at 5 years ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is gonna be the norm now from spurs fans....

with every passing day more and more will come out saying he isnt as good as he once was.

then he will stay and he be back to being the best English striker of all time!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really true as I've been one saying this for a while, much to the disagreement of other Spurs fans on here.

It’s not a position we usually produce for the first team. It’s so difficult to come out of the academy as a striker into a top team.

2023 - Benzema free transfer
2024 - Kane free transfer
2025 - Toney free transfer

All sorted.

Why would he go from a champions league team to a europa team that concedes 7 goals in a game and only wins mickey mouse trophies?

Probably better than joining a team that concedes 7 in a game and doesn't win Mickey Mouse trophies...

They're officially out of Europe, unlike the team who have won a trophy and are 4 points ahead with a game in hand and on for the quadruple

however if your saying that other spurs fans are starting to come out and agree with what I said then surely uou are assuming that what I say is gonna be true ?!?!!

Spurtle’s not saying that, he’s saying he’s held that opinion for a while and been in the minority. In fairness to him, it’s true what he’s saying. If I recall a few criticisms he’s made have been his lack of hattricks, brace and goals from outside the box compared to a few years ago.

and I said that that down talking Kanes abilities are gon na be more and more common amongst spurs fans.

At the beginning of the season he was one of the best strikers in the world.

as we get closer to the end of the season I predict the opinion that Spurtle has will become more and more common amongst spurs fans.
