Spurs are a pretty big club in a very big league. But my guess is he'll still be at Celtic next season.

Aw ma Spurs.

On the Ange links, the only real links seem to be up here not much linking him with it down in London or the same with the talk from the fans.

If nothing comes out from Spurs before the final, then you should start to worry.

to the tims that say he wouldnt go, shouldnt go, poison chalice........

Are you saying you dont think he could do a job there?

Cos if you do then you can be sure as hell he will.

I don't think there is any collective tim thought on the matter. If a manager stays long enough sooner or later he is less successful and after a treble the only way is sideways at best unless something remarkable happens in Europe which is unlikely.

The bear support seem similarly all over the shop about it? Probably even more so than tims? Lots that want him to stay convinced that Beale has his number. Lots desperate for him to go under the pretext he'll be shown up at TH but more likely just want him to go, anywhere.?

If he wants to go we won't stop him - he seems pretty single minded. I suspect DD descending last week was a charm offensive to help keep him? Could be just as interesting our squad because he has been pretty consistent in dropping in hints about big names leaving.

I’m not that overly fussed if he decides to go to something seen as a “bigger” role. It’ll be a sign of how well he’s done.

I am more confident these days that the board will do what they can to replace him with someone decent and hopefully not take the easy cheap options as they have done from time to time in the past.

If he stays next season I’m certain he’ll be gone the next but again I’m hopeful that the club have names to go to.

He’s said up front not to fall in love with players as they will come and go. Same applies to him and indeed any manager who does well.

I hope he stays because I'm sick of the sheer audacity of middling English clubs taking any successful manager either of our teams have just because they can throw about enough money to make up for their complete lack of soul.

That said, I hope once he does stay that he has a total calamity next season and doesn't win another trophy with Celtic.

I'd quite like him to go because he's clearly quite a good manager although I'd prefer to see him go once we win the league.

I'll take anything which makes Celtic's summer more difficult at the moment. They have a habit of good appointment then shocking appointment so fingers crossed they go for the guy at Sunderland.

I thought if Leeds stayed up he would end up there because of their shared affinity with gravy.

No fussed, would like to beat him tbf. But would also prefer it to be easier also !!

Its hard to imagine that they would continue to progress under a new manager due to the good job he has done. But id prefer to beat him than see him go.

if he goes , he goes - hes done a tremendous job and hes been the most enjoyable manager to have

his footballing philosophy is a perfect fit for Celtic , im not sure Spurs would be as good a fit .

But hes earned the right to go with all our blessings

and if he stays , even better

Up here the papers are linking him all the time.

The papers down south never had him as favourite. Down south it has been Naglesman, Poch, Slot.

Now the odds appear to have Rogers and Ange as quite high after multiple knock backs.

that might change given all their targets seem to be knocking them back now.

All Romano said was that Ange has said he is focussed on Celtic. What else has he said ? did he say that Spurs want him?

By all means educate me on all the papers, media down south in London had Ange down as one of the favourites.

You can read into things too much but that Ange didn't exactly assure the fans would give me reason to believe he's either in contact with Spurs or interested if they were to contact him.

If it's between him and Rodgers then you would assume they will want him because Rodgers has relegated Leicester City with a squad not that dissimilar from Spurs.

Hes being linked with the job in all these outlets down south , and up here

Unfortunately its not just the daily record

Not sure what your after , do you want me to show you various links of media outlets down south linking him with the Spurs job ?

Is that what you NEED me to do here ?

Not so sure. Rogers has EPL and European experience along with arguably greater knowledge of the English scene on players.

I dont need you to do anything . do what you want.

feel free to provide me with some of these links saying Ange is one of the favourites.

All im saying in that in london he int being thought of as one of the front runners. As with the Spurs fans.

And Spurs have approached 3 managers and to our knowledge havent approached Ange.

2/1 with Skybet.

Football.London have run articles on how Spurs could line up under him and there have been articles on here on the Spurs board about him which suggests he is being thought of as one of the front runners.

Doesn't necessarily mean it will be be him right enough but the circumstances lean towards it imo. Rodgers has been out of work so if they wanted him in surely they could have done that by now.

My prediction will be it will be clear within a few days of the Scottish Cup final.

Nagelsmann u-turn or Enrique are possible, the guy at Sporting has been mentioned but i'm he's done worse than his last season every year he's been there.

fair enough, admittedly I hadnt been checking in the cpl of days of prior to my comments. It was more based on what the trend was the week before etc.

I dont believe he was a front runner before, but after Spurs were knocked back from their first 3/4 options he more than like is one of the front runners now. And like I said prior the closer it gets to the cup final and nothing has come out from spurs then you should start to worry.

Out of curiosity anyone any idea what sorta compensation you would get for Spurs coming in?

posted on 30/5/23

How many people would need to knock back spurs before they would consider Beale?.

And I mean Michael as opposed to Ian.
