I do like it when Wolves have been so easily written off in games like this. All the United fans I speak to are confidently predicting a 4-0 or 5-0 scoreline. Wolves can be dangerous underdogs. If we see improvements in the likes of Nunes etc and keep them fit then I do think we will surprise a few this season.

We have the players to do a lot better than most of the ‘experts’ are predicting. And we did look a really decent team in preseason. Comes down to whether the new manager can get the best out of the players. Fingers crossed

Wolves have issued their squad numbers as they are required to do before the first league game. Joao Gomes has been given the number 8 shirt previously allocated to Neves. Fabio now has the number 29 shirt worn last season by Diego Costa. But the number 4 shirt of Collins and number 9 shirt of Jimenez have not been allocated to anyone.

All the senior players at the club have been given a number including some that may yet leave this month.

Guedes has been given number 30 fuelling speculation that he evidently might be staying.

I do feel that quite a lot of "fans" are underestimating this squad. We have lost one player in this transfer window that would made have the starting eleven and to be fair, we didn't miss him in our 2 wins when he was suspended.

The club has to make a profit this season, so we have to accept the fact that we are not going to be splashing out money like we did in January. That's what got us into this mess and it's down in part, to super agent Mendes lining his pockets once more.

There are squads in this league that are much worse than us and it's against those sides that we have to do better against. Our home form was improving last season and if we can maintain that momentum then we could do better than last seasons position.

I don't think fans are underestimating the squad. We are one injury/suspension from having a crisis at centre back.

I think the first team is good though and is under estimated by most pundits.
