Hwang on the bench for South Korea today, currently 0-0 v Palestine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where do Palestine play their home matches?
Both Lemina and Ait Nouri have pulled out of their international commitments this week with injuries, and they are back at Wolves receiving treatment
The Turkey transfer window doesn’t close until 13 September and Fenerbahce are reported to be hoping to sign Mario Lemina. He is in the last year of his contract with Wolves and the Turks believe they might persuade him if they offer a long term contract.
this would be very bad , I don’t know how difficult it is to join a rival club to the one you played for before in Turkey
Don’t think Galatasaray fans would be too pleased. Seems to me that most players that leave the uk to play in Turkey are keen to move on again after one season
Just read an article posted a day ago, which states that Fenerbahce want it to be a free transfer. We bought him 18 months ago for 10m euros, so that doesn't make sense. He does have an option of extending his current contract a further 12 months, so although we have a strong midfield, I expect him to stay.
Two Wolves players were in international action on Thursday. Semedo came off the bench for Portugal at half time, replacing Pedro Neto. Hwang came in for the last thirty minutes to try to get the goal that would get Korea an expected win against Palestine. He didn’t score and the match ended goalless. But in his 30 minutes he did manage to lose possession 6 times
Hats off to little San Marino. They have finally ended a run of 20 years without a victory by beating Liechtenstein 1-0 in the UEFA Nations League. Plus it's only their 2nd victory in their entire history, the last beating the same opponents 1-0.
Neves didn't even get off the bench in that game. Has his form dropped since he made the money move?
4 years ago today, Wolves blew £35.6 million on Fabio.
Just think what we may have had for that money or, not had ffp problems.
Well done Jeff.
4 years ago? that’s gone incredibly quickly, it was a bad mistake by Jeff but he and his advisors have got a lot right
The Fabio story is a sad one for both the player and the club. Always tried to be supportive of him but when I saw him continually diving and faking injuries when he was at Rangers my support ran out
Denis Praet is now a free agent with his Leicester contract running out in the summer. Wolves and Ipswich are reported to be interested in taking him on
GON is currently negotiating a new contract with Wolves. He is currently reckoned to be the 16th best paid manager in the Premier League and is paid around one third of the average top flight manager
That equats to about 3 Mill
If he doesn't agree to sign, I am available for about £2 Mill.
Fabio certainly had some talent, but not at a PL level. The big problem, of course, was the ridiculous fee we paid for him, which was not his fault.
Matt Doherty in the Irish team to face England this evening
Bellegarde’s goal at Forest was our first from outside the penalty area for 497 days. That covers 47 games during which we’ve had 173 attempts from outside the box.
If only we still had Ruben Neves….
How clever do the idiot Wolves fans who hounded mgw out feel tonight?
I'd have MGW back tomorrow, got a feeling he won't be interested.
If we had paid what was at the time Fabio’s fair market value of €12m, then nobody would have batted an eye and the hysteria of the last three years wouldn’t have taken place.
Fosun Out!
Following on from the Rice /Grealish upset after much consideration I can announce if I'm asked I will choose England before Germany.
If the money's right of course.

"Not sure what the format was today, apart from a back four. The defence looked more solid now that Dawson is back and Toti looked more comfortable in the LB role. Midfield did very well with Lemina the stand out and a great goal from Bellegarde, which was the first goal scored outside the box in 47 matches..."
Keep up DJ.
A much better team performance from England, especially in the first half. Nice change from the negative play that Southgate preferred. Wouldn't be surprised to see MGW start against Finland and can someone tell me what Kane adds to this team?
