P. S they don't do it for Guinness
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh. Then I still want to try one of these bottom pouring pints

Brought my nine year old son to his first Liverpool game last season ant Anfield and had a Guinness out of a can and a really badly poured lager before that. My own drinks weren’t great either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bottom pouring pints are a gimmick. Quick and easy for the bar staff but all that happens is people push the "magnet" up from the bottom with their finger for a laugh and it spills your drink
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it was more the case that I didn’t need to wait in a queue but could just sort myself out? Kind of like it goes when you’re forty in a marriage?

Or maybe that’s just me.

You lot pay £25 for a hot dog?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Thisi is literally all I want to know. If that's true, then it's a joke. But I'm sure someone has been angry and inflated the price as a way to knock the club.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lee Judges said he / or his mate (I forget which) went to buy two hotdogs and it cost £50.

I have not been to the Emirates for a few years because I refuse to fund this fraudulent operation.

I dislike, infact I despise the Kroenke's as people and what they stand for, the world would be a far better place without the billionaire class but they've been solid club owners since taking full control of the club.

Our management team have spent poorly lately and it's hampered our progress this season. Non stop massive spending (on dross) leads to Man United, never go Man United.

posted on 23/2/25

How have they been solid owners?

They are responsible for hiring the staff to run the club and they have failed to hire the right staff.

They've also failed to support those staff and make things happen at crucial moments when we desperately need.

Comparing our failures to other failures does not make our failures successes.

Wake the f**k up, not complicated.

posted on 23/2/25

That's merely the tip of the iceberg as to why they are horrific owners as well.

posted on 23/2/25

All roads leads back to the owners and unfortunately anything else is pure irrelevance.

The right owners who care, are involved and have ambition beyond the finances of Champions League football hire world class staff and get the job done - end of.

Sorry but you sound pretty deluded. Have a look around and see how much worse they could have done 👍

It's an incredibly competitive field right now, where big money doesn't guarantee progress, far from it in fact and we've not only spent big but we've progressed significantly.

Have the club got everything right since the takeover, of course not. Have they out performed every other major prem club in terms of improvement, imo yes (I include Liverpool in that btw as they were already a brilliant side by that point).

The fact there's discontent at being in 2nd should be a clue about how we're doing as a club vs 2018 (when they took full ownership).

Like I said originally, as people, as symbol of growing inequality which any billionaire is I despise them but as owners they've done surprisingly well so far.

Didn't realise he's an alcoholic - that's sad to hear, I've witnessed a lot of alcoholism in parts of my family and it's not pretty. Definitely makes sense though.

He's been beyond nasty about me on this site on multiple occasions including spreading false rumours about me in the past but I ignored it and continued to be nice to him like I try to be to everyone - providing they don't lead with insults.

However, this was strike 3 (at least) so finally hit the filter.

Me to, he's always been nasty to me and has got me banned

You are entitled to your opinion and entitled to think I sound deluded but with no disrespect intend, I find that rather amusing given what your proceeded to write beneath it.

If you're satisfied with (and I paraphrase): "being a little bit better than a load of utter cack but still failing to achieve anything" then you do you.

I, however, am not.

That's what I mean by deluded, we've come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years and this season fallen back a bit (still 2nd).

There's certainly times for a regime change but this seems premature and frankly childish the way you're going on.

Is the OP even an Arsenal fan? We have spent €700m since 21/22. Only Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and City have spent more.

We are ahead of all of them! There is absolutely no logic to the article.

Leaps and bounds? No, no, no.

Stop making excuses.

We're still not back to where we were over 20 years ago. There is no leaps and bounds, that's another lie.

Moutpiece of whom? You do enjoy labeling posters. Whats your arguement even based on?

Like a mouse to cheese, I can put money on you turning up to defend the Kroenkes at every opportunity. Almost as if you're one of those insepid journalists in bed with the club or running one of those ToP GoOnEr social media accounts. If not, well then I'm not sure what's worse. At least the former two know they aren't real fans they are just pretending to be to make money.

Thinking you're a fan and having the audacity to question whether others are when in fact you're just a customer begging to sniff the Kroenke's farts is surely even worse - they're not going to s|-|ag you Jenius... Or give you pocket money.

Clearly it will take another two decades of failure before some of you finally are able to admit to yourselves how wrong and foolish you were.

posted on 23/2/25

You are also well aware that writing: "Is the OP even an Arsenal fan?" is just as insulting, if not worse, than me calling you a Kroenke mouthpiece.

So that we can call tit-for-tat.

posted on 23/2/25

So you are just being critical of Kroenke without any foundation. They spend money. So what should they be doing other than spending money? They can't spend more than PSR or FFP allow. Just like the Saudi's at Newcastle. Now it's fair to be critical of how they have responded to Edu quitting, and I have been critical of Garlick/King. Frankly Vinai/Edu were far more aware of what was happening in the market than Garlick has been. Athletic wrote an article explaining how Josh Kroenke had to fly in to support Arteta's demand for a striker in jan. That should not have been needed and the outcome of the last two windows have been absmyl. So at least direct your anger at the ones responsible for blowing another chance of winning the league. Garlick/King should be feeling the heat in the summer.

Stop calling fans, customers. Makes you sound like plastic on a wind up or a troll.

posted on 23/2/25

Oh no, that's a very weak response, but when you have no real ammunition to go on to defend your long-held stance I can understand it.

Foundations? We have over two decades of those: https://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/466642

Refutes all your arguments and the PSR / FFP stuff has been proven to be drivel PR media spin. I knew you'd drop that one in there because you've fallen for it of course.

I'll call customers customers if they are customers until they stop behaving like customers and start acting like fans again. That's a rather hypocritical audacious request from someone who literally just wrote: "Is the OP even a fan?" as well.

"They spend money"... SMH 🤦‍♂️

posted on 23/2/25

What media PR spin? Look at the published accounts. Pointing to another thread of nonsense is not proof of anything.

That article kills anything you say dead and you know it but don't want to admit it to yourself - you're wrong, you've always been wrong - deal with it / live with it / start getting used to that fact - whatever.

As does this re PSR / FFP: https://www.football365.com/news/man-city-ffp-sources-reveal-punishment-fine-verdict

Accounts and books are cooked all the time.

That's just been another excuse for the club to hide behind in terms of the owners not injecting their own capital and for customers like you to use to make their weird defences of the Kroenkes.

posted on 23/2/25

They maybe cooked where you come from but HMRC are pretty good at targeting businesses so no they are not doing anything criminal.

PSR rules specifically stop clubs injecting capital into clubs. That's what the battle between City and the Premier League is all about. That's to maintain fair competition and stops clubs creating a monopoly, which is why Man City have 115 charges against them. No one knows what the outcome of the charges against Man City will be. But you have to wonder why they went on a spending surge in Jan, overpaying for relatively unknown players, if they thought like some gen z from football365 all they were going to get was a fine.

You just said the accounts kill my argument? How is that? Please explain. Have you even grasped what my argument is?
