Fair point and probs true for all 3 currently, the general question Re TAA comes down to individuals opinions, some will be annoyed as fack and feel it's his fault, others will blame the club and, imo only a big % will be disappointed to be losing a quality player but thank him for hi time and wish him well?

How dare you lot turn on a player that's given you what he has, just because he maybe wants a new adventure and a bit more money. He's done everything at Liverpool. The only people to blame here are the owners for allowing such vital players to run their contracts down. When they approached him two years ago to sign a new deal, they should have sold on a spot then. They didn't and took a gamble that he'd eventually relent. He hasn't. That's on the club, not him.

The way Liverpool fans treat their own just for wanting to spread their wings is crazy. You lot seem to forget that your precious little Steven Gerrard wanted out before the fear of the fans response got to him. Carragher said himself he couldn't have left even if he wanted to. Basically if you're a decent player and home grown, you're either a hero and locked in at the club or a total villain. Is there any home grown player who left that's looked back on fondly?

It's hardly Sol Campbell vibes is it?! Imagine Everton are a much bigger club and winning everything and seeing your best player, your captain, your home grown favourite, move to them on a free after having promised to sign a new deal. Now THAT's villainous. Trent isn't even in the same stratosphere.

I'm only basing it on clips I've seen of fans burning his shirt and those phoning in to Talksport. Nothing specific about this article. I only used Campbell as an example of where a fan's ire is justified to draw comparisons. I'm aware no one else had mentioned him.

Take the money. He wants to leave and does not want to sign. We have no games. If tra safer window is open the do it. It is a no brainer.

Think some people are upset how it appeared he was stringing along the club/fans that he may sign. For example his goal celebration. Also the timings are bad as well. The news broke before the united game and he had an absolute stinker. Now again, we about to play Everton and this comes out. Maybe these are getting leaked outside his control. No idea.

But he has the right to leave. He has served his contract. Give him a nice send off end of season,hopefully with a league medal. He will go down as a great player but not as a legend imo.
