Remember Warnocks was there, think it was a bank holiday game.

Feels like we've really started the season properly now... goals in the bag, defensively look strong, only really battered once vs Arsenal...

going to be tough, but winning the 'winnable' games is all we can do..

Still a little annoyed at the Fulham game, and tbh, the Newcastle game, but really does feel like we can push on.

new lads on the score sheet, keep DCL fit, well, the squad in general.

Impressed with Farke too this week, thought he had a cool head when we went 1 down, thought his game plan worked and in the last 10 mins where things could get nervy, thought Farke did really well at shutting up shop.

on to the next, c'mon Leeds

can't remember Kalvin scoring from a free kick at all tbh...

must have been pre-Bielsa?

Been a lot of talk about players being injury prone but its a World Cup year and they will all believe they can play in it including DCL so will all do their best to stay fit so should be a plus for us.

shouldn't make the slightest bit difference if the world cup is next summer or not..

crazy suggesting players may not try and keep fit because there's no world cup to play in.

what can they even do any differently to stay fit, outside their normal training regimes with their clubs?

more likely work the other way at the end of the season, players not fully committing to tackles in fear of getting injured for the world cup...

can't be the other way round, you're pushing against science mate

Maybe should have worded along the lines of one or two with dubious injury records may suddenly find themselves injury free, we will see.

July 4th 2020 just looked it up - he did.

If DCL had not had injury issues during his latter Everton years, we wouldn't have got him.

11 England caps scoring 4 goals is not a bad return at the top level - think if he stays fit he could be the difference.

Never been his biggest fan but Aaronsson gets 10 out of 10 for effort.

Was never sure if it was purely clickbait, but saw the odd link to Sterling during the summer and seeing him struggling for the Arsenal last year, it really sent shivers down the spine at the prospect, he was very poor indeed.

Agree

And both DCL and Bamford, are naturally fit players.

To suggest DCL, might stay fit because, its a world cup year is bonkers.
