Rangers should have been down to 9 men but you dont see us writing to the SFA about that.

It's only Celtic fans that are saying this...that's maybe why

Ok.
Your team got played off the park for most of the game. Best team won despite Nick Walsh's considerable efforts to level things up.
Enjoy your day.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Where to start, you got outplayed for 45mins against 10men.

You finished with 11 men when it should have been 9 ffs.

But aye you were the victims. Mental.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That youz ended up with only 1 sending off, and the “offside” goal, would be reasonable counters to the wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain rangers fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Offside is a factual decision with lines drawn

The only folk I hear talking about the Cornelius foul are Celtic fans, I don't hear any media or commentators giving it any further thought at all
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's as factual as the clearest pixel.

We both know decisions like yesterday's are made largely using guesswork as to which pixel should be chosen as the closest to the goal where the line should be drawn (both literally and metaphorically).

Until we have even higher def cameras, or some sort of advanced tracking software in use which has a complete grid of the pitch scanned in and can determine exactly where every player is positioned within millimetres, then it'll still be an inexact science judging offsides flawlessly every single time.

Was only two or three seasons ago that we have a Kyogo goal (from memory) which was called for offside by the VAR using an camera that was literally in the opposite corner of the pitch to Kyogo at Motherwell as there were no other available angles to the VAR

So aye.. offside is factual? Not currently it isn't.

So with the equipment we have in the here and now....it's offside yes

Cheers

"We also lost the game despite Walsh possibly awarding too many nothing fouls our way...so what's your point like??"

That the best team won and you're greeting over nothing 🤷

Bit of an all out offensive from Jukebox here.....would be inclined to think he feels the need to justify something

"When there is intent there, force of content does not matter a jot"

Intent to do what exactly? Intending to foul someone isn't a red card offence otherwise we'd have forfeited games after 20 minutes each week 😂

Just back home from the game. Logged in to see if Stevie had turned a scheidt Rangers performance into blaming everyone else

I wasn't disappointed (unlike Tav)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn't.

He just blamed the ref this time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Criticised the red.....not blame....criticise
Think I'm in the majority in that respect but what does that matter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then you'll agree he was poor for both teams and not the reason you were beaten yesterday?

comment by HB Fash - Was the frame rate considered? (U21935)

Could have gone either way, kicking a keeper in the head while he's got the ball in his arms on the deck. Either wayAs nailed on a red as you can get, there was no chance to win the ball he just decided to kick him in the head.

Cornelius tackle was never a red, not comparable at all to being kicked in the head, he won the ball.

Raskin tried his best but we seen Walsh had decided Celtic players can kick people in the head and their defenders can make saves without getting booked.

I'd agree on Djiga, he gets worse every time i see him. Chermiti and Aasgaard both shown flashes but on the whole look schite. Don't think we're stuck, the amount of contracts ending this summer we're in for another big summer of squad overhaul.

However, Hackett reckons yellow was the CORRECT decision and contrary to various other opinions believes there was NO malice in Trusty’s actions.

The former ref continued: “The Celtic player could easily have avoided contact with the goalkeeper.

“However the yellow card for a reckless challenge was for me the correct decision.

“There was no malice in the actions of the Celtic player and that has saved him from receiving a red card.”

Was never a red card in a million years and also was never a penalty.

His hands were tucked into his chest. Even collum said that wasn't going to be a pen if your arms are in line with your body as there is nowhere else for them to go.

But what a difference

Today we bossed the game

Intensity passion and chances

When we get going we will be unstoppable
----------------------------------------------------------------------
.....against 10 men for 80 out of 120mins
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we weren't constantly the better team prior to the sending off?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn't say that.....but you certainly weren't constantly the better team when we went down to 10 were you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And?

A ridiculous penalty aside I don't recall Schmeichel making too many saves. Despite being second best for large parts of the second half, the first 15-20 of it anyway, we still rattled your crossbar and were making chances.

The better team won at the end of the day. We created more, dominated the ball more, scored more.. ultimately it could've been a wider margin both duringt he 90 minutes and after it.

Still think the cornelius challenge was the most reckless challenge of the day.

It was much worse than the actual red card and surprised VAR ignored a two footed challenge like that.

If that was Europe he would have been sent off as they never ignore those kind of 2 footed lunges.

i'm pleased with the result, but more than anything i'm pleased with how we are playing.

i said it many times, rodgers "style" was not good, it suffocated us and focused on ball retention over attacking.

the difference in mcgregor, the difference when you actually give our strikers chances.

the cvnts style was the equivalent of aids to a striker, Idah not getting chances, kyogo not getting chances.

i'm glad he is gone, can't stand him.

statement from DD was still a joke though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im starting to think Desmond was right in his statement and that rodgers was toxic.

Engels trusty osmond all flying now and yet under rodgers they didnt even make the bench. He might have been working his ticket out the door and in that sense he is an even bigger rat than last time.

I dont mind managers wanting to leave but to deliberatly sabotage the team to do so is unforgiveable.

I think it’s more of a general point where it’s so marginal. Understand folk being annoyed at that, even if offside is technically the correct answer

Would like to see the rule changed so that where it is so marginal the attacker gets the advantage

The issue when it ends up being so marginal is that it goes back to being a subjective decision.

Anyhoo, it's by the by.

Simple fact is, even when Rangers were apparently the superior team in the second half.. we still managed to create over double the chances they did, 5x as many shots on target (Butland had a good game despite his woeful attempt to save McGregor's goal), double the corners, more possession.

Even when they were at their best we still outmatched them across the park in key stats. Had Forrest buried that one off the crossbar at 1-0, I could've seen us scoring another after that fairly easily given how readiky this Rangers squad crumble.
