Jack Barmby is the one to watch out for.

Jack Barmby has done well in the Youth Cup, but he is even younger than Tunnicliffe. Ryan's actually getting first team experience and doing quite well in the professional game....Barmby is at an even earlier stage of development.

I dont watch any youth football bar the occasional highlights match video but Barmby has always stood out for me.

Im aware of his age, as I said he is one for the future. Tunnicliffe is 21/22? It will be interesting to see if he is sent out on loan again next year...

Jack Barmby is fast and quick thinking, much like his old man.

I do wonder if he will grow into a more statuesque player than old man Nicky....felt that was the one thing which always held him back.

Tunnicliffe is only 19, he isnt 20 till december.

Both Larnell Cole and Jesse Lingard are too lightweight to ever make it at Man U
--------------------------------------------------
Yea, I can't think of a single footballer who is good, yet small and lightweight

Cole and Lingard are mint, full of skill and trickery... Cole has already had a taste of the 1st team, so I guess you don't really know what you are talkin about.

If L. Cole or J. Lingard become first team Man U players, I will hold my hands up, admit that I am utterly clueless and stop watching football altogether.

Both of those players are the same build and skill as Febian Brandy...who has now drifted out altogether from professional football, it appears.

Unfortunately, you wont.

You and your clones slate as many players as possible and seem to take great pleasure when, inevitably, most fail to take the huge step up (and go on to have successful careers in football)...

Yet when they do make it, rather than put up and shut up... you just move onto a new target.

Sad, fake, twát

Far too many assumptions there

Cheers Stretty, I always thought Tunnicliffe was older but never bothered to check.

A loan at a decent Championship club next year would be a good thing...

He's currently on loan at Peterborough, in the Championship....

Im well aware of that Manyoo but if you want to be pedantic then,

ANOTHER loan at a Championship club next season will benefit him.

But why?

"I am now informing you that Ryan Tunnicliffe will be the next special player to come through the youth ranks."

Thanks for keeping us ahead of the game. Maybe you should inform the United scouts & coaches about him, doubt they get to spend as much time with their finger on the remote as you.

You claimed Evans was a calamity defender.

Do you hold your hands up and admit you were wrong about that?

A quick scan of your articles show several slating Evans and one saying Fabio, Carrick and Berbatov are not UTD class.

Is it time to admit that you are utterly clueless and stop watching football altogether?

you have to respect his commitment to the WUM though, even going as far as watching, or at least researching our reserves.

I'm not keen on continuous articles slating our own players e.g. De Gea, particularly when an individual pretty much only posts on subject like that, and I've even written articles on that very matter, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't debate the pros and cons of certain players within a balanced discussion. It's seeing certain players persecuted when they are trying their best for the club I don't like.

Given all that I'm not defending Manyoo here, but the comment 'You claimed Evans was a calamity defender.' 'Now admit you were wrong'. does make me want to respond as it was pretty much fact that Evans was a calamity defender, if by that people mean he kept making big mistakes through a lack of concentration or whatever that cost the team goals and games over a long period of time.

Now he's certainly had a very good season this year, which is great for him and the club, and I'm pleased about that, but the last 6 months don't mean he wasn't poor for the last few seasons. Even the player admits that, and another season like his last and he would have been sold, no doubt.

By 'I've written articles on that very matter' I meant above that people shouldn't be continuously slating our own players NOT I've written articles slating players

On the Tunnicliffe matter I've heard so much hype about this player, but I'm yet to see why he's rated as such a stand out prospect. He looks decent no doubt at all, but Robson or Keane mark 2 I've not seen.

Pogba is the player in that team that to me was the stand out future star.

Young defenders are prone to mistakes doesn't make them calamity defenders. It's a fact that Evans was a scapegoat.

Could say Jones is a calamity cb based on this season. And Evans did really well in 09/10 season. Was obviously never going to be sold as he's been ahead of Smalling all season.

No you're missing the point. It wasnt just the odd mistake of a young defender over a couple of months of form, it was systematic for years and he's now 24.

That long period of poor performance is no way the same as a few recent mistakes from Jones who's been absolutely great for United this year on the whole considering he's a teenager in his debut season helping the side out in 3 different positions and was probably totally knackered mentally and physically when the odd error started to creep in when he got played in his 3rd position of the season. If anything Jones would be worth more now than we paid him, just ask Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Liverpool if they want him for 20m

As I said even Evans admits to be fair that he was playing badly, and to be fair again he has now played very well for the last 4 months, but that relatively short period of form doesnt mean he will now continue like this for the rest of his career, and it doesn't erase the previous 3 seasons.
