Just realized the odds of us signing Garnacho just went up. Urgh.

I'll fackin break things if we do

And Delap
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is still very much an unknown quantity and certainly overhyped. We need a k own proven striker, but of course, we won't sign one.

“Several clubs are interested in Leroy Sane. At Chelsea FC, a lot depends on the qualification for the Champions League. If it is missed, a Sané transfer to the Blues would be rather unrealistic. Arsenal have distanced themselves as they prefer a younger winger like Rodrygo, Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens” (via @kerry_hau / @SkySportDE)

Did any CL teams drop into the Europa League this season?

Chelsea have identified two new goalkeepers ahead of the summer transfer window, with Enzo Maresca losing patience with Robert Sanchez.

Parma stopper Zion Suzuki and Burnley’s James Trafford have both been identified as targets for the Blues.

Suzuki, just 21, has caught the eye in Serie A with a string of commanding performances, and Parma will demand a premium for his services.

The Japan international- widely regarded as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in Europe – ticks plenty of boxes for Maresca’s possession-based, playing out-from-the-back philosophy, combining lightning-fast reflexes with composure under pressure.

West Ham United hold an interest in Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo – should they become available, but they are also keeping tabs on Axel Disasi’s situation, if his loan move from Aston Villa is not made permanent.

I thought none of them did after they changed the rules. Hence why a team as diabolically bad as Man Yanited were able to get to the Final

Yes, I only just realised. Makes it a joke that the comp still gets a CL place. Basically, if no CL teams drop down, then it's no tougher to win than the Conference League

Yeah the quality is a joke, as evidenced by the final. I'd laugh more if we weren't in the conference league

Talks between Saudi's Al Ahli and Victor Osimhen are ongoing and moving in the right direction.

I’d be happy with that, but the timing of this article doesn’t make much sense as Sanchez has been ok recently. I could understand Maresca “losing patience with Robert Sanchez” a month or so ago when he dropped Sanchez for Jorgensen (until he realized that Jorgensen was even worse), but why would he be losing patience with him right now? This seems like an old article they are recycling.

posted 2 days, 12 hours ago

Why on earth not?

And lets be honest he hasnt been ok, he just hasn't fook'd up massively or for the most part hasn't touched the ball much......BUT there is significant data that suggests he isn't good enough to be our no1

Secondly, we are less than week away from the end of the season.

Based on these points this story makes perfect sense

I’m not saying he is good enough for us. I think we do need a better keeper. What I’m saying is, this story coming out now makes little sense. Maresca was very supportive of Sanchez until he dropped him a month or so ago. Clearly he’d run out of patience then. But he’s not going to say that now - especially before our biggest game of the season. He’s much more likely to deal with this in a week’s time. This, in my opinion, is just a recycled article from a while back.

Sanchez has cut out those short risky passes he'd play every game. Now he hits it long a lot. But his distribution is fecking awful. He either hits it out of play or gives it straight to the opposition. I think I preferred him playing those short risky passes.

Chelsea are 2nd in the most xG created in the PL this season with 71.65.

Disagree... different level entirely worth a CL place... although frankly Spurs aren't

Hopefully the club sees sense and reinstates Petrovic as our number 1 for next season. Why we loaned out our best keeper in the first place remains a mystery to me. As a fan I'd like an explanation from the club about exactly how and why it happened.

And Maresca didn't fancy him or some such explanation doesn't cut it because the two Sporting directors should have superseded him on it and said that wasn't going to happen and that Petrovic had to stay as our number 1 after successfully displacing Sanchez last season.

5 Chelsea players called up to the England squad and none from City , what an absolute joke.
