Hopefully the club sees sense and reinstates Petrovic as our number 1 for next season. Why we loaned out our best keeper in the first place remains a mystery to me. As a fan I'd like an explanation from the club about exactly how and why it happened.

And Maresca didn't fancy him or some such explanation doesn't cut it because the two Sporting directors should have superseded him on it and said that wasn't going to happen and that Petrovic had to stay as our number 1 after successfully displacing Sanchez last season.

Marseca likes ball playing keepers, Petrovic ain't a ball playing keeper. That's your explanation. It's a bad one, but that's why this decision was made.

Also helps Sanchez that he has backers within the staff (Winstanley & Roberts) and Petrovic was a cheap punt similar to Slonina. Think Torres & Sturridge, only poundland equivalent

And yet Sanchez is a complete liability with the ball so that explanation doesn't convince me at all either.

Chelsea are expected to now have enough financial headroom to spend on targets this summer including a striker, winger and central defender. One senior source believes the club will be "aggressive" in the market.

If we can spunk £60m on Joao Pedro why not bring in a world class striker like Osimhen or Gyokeres instead? I don’t think Pedro is even a proper striker, swear he plays behind Welbeck.

This team needs a proper striker. Feels like it’s been a decade since we last had one.

I wouldn't rule out Osimhen out of hand. We did make a formal approach last summer and, if Mikel's to be believed, there's a willingness from his side to specifically join us.

If both us & him don't have a fruitful summer, don't be surprised to see us come back to each other & work out a compromise, even if it winds up being loan with option to buy.
