Britain's Ryan Peniston made a superb start to his Wimbledon debut as he overcame Swiss player Henri Laaksonen in straight sets in the first round.
The in-form 26-year-old wildcard, ranked 135th, prevailed 6-4 6-3 6-2 against world number 95 Laaksonen.
Peniston reached quarter-finals at Nottingham, Queen's and Eastbourne in the run up to the Championships.
Wildcard Katie Swan could not join him in the second round as she lost in three sets to Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk.
Swan, who tumbled during the first point of the match and said the surface was slippery in the first set, was beaten 4-6 6-4 6-4.
The Wombles made 17 Top Of The Pops studio appearances in 1974-75, plus one in 1998. Only a few of the performances are thought to have survived, as most episodes were wiped until 1976.
Iga Swiatek extended her winning streak to a record 36th match with a straight-set victory over qualifier Jana Fett in the Wimbledon first round.
The world number one, who overtook Venus Williams' record for the longest streak by a women's player in the 21st century, beat the Croat 6-0 6-3.
Swiatek, in her first match since her French Open win, was not at her best in blustery conditions on Centre Court.
"I'm just figuring out how to play," the 21-year-old Pole said.
Glass sponges found in the East China Sea and Southern Ocean have been estimated to be more than 10,000 years old. Although this may be an overestimate, it is likely that this is the longest lived animal on Earth.
Scotland's first minister has proposed 19 October 2023 as the date for another referendum on independence.
Nicola Sturgeon said the question would be the same as in the last referendum in 2014: "Should Scotland be an independent country?".
Ms Sturgeon has written to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ask for formal consent for the vote to be held.
She said she would press on with her plan if this was not granted by the UK government.
But she stressed that any referendum would need to be "indisputably lawful" and constitutional - with the Supreme Court being asked to rule on whether the Scottish government has the power to hold a vote without UK government approval.
The UK government said it would examine the first minister's proposals, but stressed that its position that "now is not the time" for another referendum had not changed. It has also said that it is "clear" that the constitution is reserved to Westminster.
Mr Johnson said: "We'll study it very carefully and respond properly. I think the focus of the country should be building a stronger economy. That's what we're doing. I certainly think that we'll have a stronger economy and a stronger country together."
While most professionals can put the ball anywhere they want, only a few are capable of reaching speeds in the upper 140s and also the 150s. Sam Groth set a new world record for the fastest tennis serve with a speed of 263.4 km/h (163.7 mph).

The Feast of Saints Peter and Paul or Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul is a liturgical feast in honour of the martyrdom in Rome of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul, which is observed on 29 June. The celebration is of ancient Christian origin, the date selected being the anniversary of either their death or the translation of their relics.
The 2011 Scottish Conservative Party leadership election was an internal party election to choose a new leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, the third-largest political party in the devolved Scottish Parliament. Ruth Davidson was declared the winner of the contest on 4 November 2011 and succeeded Annabel Goldie. The election was triggered when incumbent party leader Annabel Goldie resigned her position on 9 May 2011, after her party's self-described 'disappointing' result in the 2011 Scottish Parliament election, where the Conservatives were reduced from 17 seats to 15.
However, a commission headed by Lord Sanderson in 2010 had outlined the need for a leadership election directly after the 2011 elections, and had been critical of the party's then-current leadership and conduct. Four candidates stood in the contest, all of whom were MSPs: Ruth Davidson, Murdo Fraser, Jackson Carlaw and Margaret Mitchell. The contest sparked intense debate within the party, with Murdo Fraser standing on a platform of disbanding the Scottish Conservatives in favour of establishing a wholly new, centre-right Scottish party, which would be autonomous but allied to the Conservative Party in England and Wales. His idea was rejected by his three opponents; however, it had support from over half of the MSP group. After a ballot using the single transferable vote method, Ruth Davidson defeated Fraser by a margin of 566 votes.

Emma Raducanu's Wimbledon is over after she was outplayed by France's Caroline Garcia in a second-round match that left Centre Court deflated.
The 19-year-old Briton was beaten 6-3 6-3 by the world number 55, who has now won seven grass-court matches in a row.
Raducanu has not won successive matches at a Grand Slam since her remarkable triumph at last year's US Open.
Garcia was always going to be a tough opponent and Raducanu was unable to cope with her aggressive play.
In a 2002 UK poll, "Wind Beneath My Wings" was found to be the most-played song at British funerals.
