Tony Siragusa, a longtime NFL player and fan favorite, has died at age 55. The massive 6-foot-4, 360-pound defensive tackle and New Jersey native was a beloved member of a Baltimore Ravens team that beat the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV at the end of the 2000 NFL season. Siragusa went on to act in several episodes of HBO's Sopranos and became a sideline reporter for Fox's NFL broadcasts. Details surrounding Siragusa's death have not been revealed, but multiple reports state he died in his sleep on Monday. 'He was the leader, he was our captain,' Siragusa's former Ravens teammate Brad Jackson told NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. 'He meant everything to everyone. It's a sad day. I just talked to him on Sunday. It's terrible.' Siragusa's death marked an already tragic day for the Ravens, who lost 26-year-old linebacker Jaylon Ferguson on Tuesday.

Eight medical personnel are to stand trial accused of criminal negligence in the death of legendary Argentinian footballer Diego Maradona.
A judge has ordered a culpable homicide trial after a medical panel found Maradona's treatment was rife with "deficiencies and irregularities".
Maradona died in November 2020 of a heart attack in Buenos Aires, aged 60.
He had been recovering at home from surgery on a brain blood clot earlier that month.
A few days after his death Argentine prosecutors launched an investigation into the doctors and nurses involved in his care.
Last year, the panel of 20 experts appointed to examine his death found Maradona's medical team acted in an "inappropriate, deficient and reckless manner".
It also concluded that the footballer "would have had a better chance of survival" with adequate treatment in an appropriate medical facility, according to the court ruling.
Among those facing charges are Maradona's neurosurgeon and personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, a psychiatrist and psychologist, two doctors, two nurses and their boss. They have all denied responsibility for his death.
All eight will be tried on a legal definition of homicide based on negligence committed in the knowledge that it may lead to a person's death.
The crime can hold a sentence of eight to 25 years in prison, according to Argentina's penal code. A date for the trial is yet to be set.

Derby are set to start pre-season on Monday with just five players under contract for the 2022-23 season and options for one-year extensions on two more.
The club remain in administration and under a transfer embargo, meaning manager Wayne Rooney is unable to bring in any new players at the moment and unsure as to what sort of a squad he could build.
Should a takeover not happen - American businessman Chris Kirchner's planned deal fell apart earlier this month - the Rams' administrators could be forced to sell some or all of the five players - Krystian Bielik, Max Bird, Jason Knight, Louie Sibley and Jack Stretton - in order to keep the business afloat.
The Rams opening day trip to Oxford United also has a historical tie-in as the two clubs were both previously owned by media baron Robert Maxwell in the 1980's.

Labour has won the Wakefield by-election to regain the West Yorkshire seat it lost to the Conservatives at the 2019 General Election.
Simon Lightwood defeated Tory candidate Nadeem Ahmed by 4,925 votes in the poll to overturn a majority of 3,358.
The vote followed the resignation of ex-Conservative MP Imran Ahmad Khan, who was jailed in May for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2008.
The victory signifies Labour's first by-election gain since Corby in 2012.
Prior to Khan's election in 2019, the Wakefield constituency had been held by Labour since the early 1930s.
Mr Lightwood received 13,166 votes in total, with Mr Ahmed taking 8,241 - a 12.7% swing from Conservative to Labour.

It's a Shame About Ray is the fifth album by American alternative rock band the Lemonheads, released on June 2, 1992. The album was produced by the Robb Brothers. At the time of principal recording, the band consisted of Evan Dando (lead vocals, guitar), Juliana Hatfield (bass, backing vocals) and David Ryan (drums). Though not originally on the album, the band's cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" was added to the album in later pressings after it had become a major worldwide radio hit, and it features a later lineup of the band with Nic Dalton on bass.
The title track was inspired by a quote that band leader Evan Dando had seen in a Sydney newspaper in reference to a kid called Ray who kept getting kicked out of every school he went to.
The album became an international hit for the band, reaching #31 in the UK Top 100 as well as #5 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the U.S. The song was later included at #138 on Pitchfork's "Top 200 Tracks of the 90s" list. The music video features Johnny Depp.
Actress Polly Noonan and her car appear on the cover of the album.

Wayne Rooney has stepped down as manager of embattled Derby.
The Manchester United and England great ended his playing career with the Rams before taking his first step in management with the club in November 2020.
Derby were plunged into administration at the start of last season and were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship despite Rooney leading a valiant fight against the drop in the face of a combined 21-point deduction.
Rooney revealed that the club tried their utmost to persuade him to stay but his mind was made up to depart.
Last season Rooney often had to rely on fringe players and youngsters as Derby attempted to avoid relegation from the Championship.
He was appointed as manager in November 2020 having previously been a player at the club.
Rooney told Derby's official website: 'Over the course of the Summer I have been closely following developments regarding the ownership of Derby County.
'Today I met with the administrators to inform them of my decision that it was time for me to leave the club. In fairness to them, they tried tremendously hard to change my decision but my mind was made up.
'My time at the club has been a rollercoaster of emotions, both highs and lows, but I have to say that I have enjoyed the challenge.
'Personally, I feel the club now needs to be led by someone with fresh energy and not affected by the events that have happened over the last eighteen months. I will remember my time at Derby with great pride and affection and would like to thank all my staff, players and of course the fans for their incredible support. I will never forget you and hope to see you all again in the near future and in happier times.
'Finally, I am aware that the club still have interested parties who wish to take over the running of the club. To them I say this, Derby County is a great club with a great history and great fans. I wish you all the best and much success for the future.'

With the British No 1 recovering from a side strain picked up at the Nottingham Open earlier this month, the missed practice could indicate that Raducanu is not fit enough to compete at SW19.
