"The Way to Your Love" is the second single from British pop group Hear'Say, the winners of the UK version of Popstars. The song was written and produced by Norwegian production team StarGate and was released as the second and final single from Hear'Say's debut studio album, Popstars (2001), on 25 June 2001.

"The Way to Your Love" debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart with first-week sales of 75,514 copies. Despite the success of the group's debut single, "Pure and Simple", "The Way to Your Love" spent only one week at the top of the chart and sold only a tenth of their first record's sales; it was the second-lowest-selling number-one single of 2001 that did not reach number one in 2000

Gustavo Petro, the former mayor of Bogota and ex-rebel fighter, has become Colombia's first left-wing president.

Mr Petro, a current senator, defeated the right-wing construction magnate Rodolfo Hernández in Sunday's run-off election.

Figures show he took 50.5% of votes, defeating his millionaire rival by a close margin of around 700,000 ballots.

The result marks a major change for the country, which for decades has been led by moderates and conservatives.

The vote was held amid widespread discontent at the way the country has been run, and there were anti-government protests last year in which dozens of people died.

The 62-year-old Mr Petro hailed what he called a "victory for God and for the people".

"May so much suffering be cushioned by the joy that today floods the heart of the homeland," Mr Petro wrote on Twitter. "Today is the day of the streets and squares."

His running mate Francia Marquez, a single mother and former housekeeper, will become the country's first black woman vice-president.

England's Matt Fitzpatrick was swamped by his family after superbly holding off the world's best players to claim his first major title with a one-shot victory in the US Open at Brookline.

The 27-year-old was also hugged by Rory McIlroy on the 18th green as he became just the third Englishman in 52 years to win the sport's second oldest major.

Fitzpatrick shot a two-under 68 for a six-under total to beat world number one Scottie Scheffler (67) and Will Zalatoris (69) in a gripping battle that went to the final hole.

"It's what you grow up dreaming of," said Fitzpatrick. "It's something I've worked so hard for for such a long time. I've got to give myself credit: I had so much patience."

His win will be remembered for the stunning shot he played from a fairway bunker on the 18th.

In scenes reminiscent of Sandy Lyle's final-hole bunker shot on his way to winning the 1988 Masters at Augusta National, Fitzpatrick launched a high cut at the green, the ball landing 20 feet beyond the flag and spinning a couple of feet closer.

A two-putt par was then enough to spark scenes of sheer jubilation as his mum, dad and brother embraced him on the green.

Sheffield-born Fitzpatrick, who also won the US Amateur title at Brookline back in 2013 joins Jack Nicklaus as the only two men to win both that and the US Open at the same venue - Nicklaus achieved the feat at Pebble Beach.

He is also the first non-American to win both titles.

And he joins 1970 champion Tony Jacklin and 2013 victor Justin Rose as modern-day English winners of the US Open. He is the first British winner of a men's major since Danny Willett at the 2016 Masters.

Non-league Chesterfield FC have left fans in stitches after unveiling their latest signing in the middle of a Tesco supermarket. The National League side signed 21-year-old Bailey Clements from Ipswich Town.

And to unveil the defender, the club shared a picture of the grinning youngster holding up a Chesterfield scarf following the free transfer. But, the Daily Star reports, the picture was different to the standard transfer announcement as the full-back was standing in the drinks aisle of a Tesco store.

Fans were left tickled by the snap, which proudly displayed a Clubcard offer under Clements' arm. They took to social media to share their amusement.

Japan's ban on same-sex marriages does not violate the constitution, a district court in Osaka has ruled.

The ruling dealt a blow to gay couples and rights activists, after another district court in Sapporo ruled in 2021 that the failure to recognise same-sex marriage was "unconstitutional".

Japan's constitution defines marriage as one between "both sexes".

It is the only country in the G7 group of developed nations that doesn't allow people of the same gender to marry.

Opinion polls show a majority of the general public is in favour of allowing same-sex marriage in Japan.

Several areas - including Tokyo - have begun issuing partnership certificates, to help same-sex couples rent properties and gain hospital visitation rights.

Passengers in England, Scotland and Wales face severe disruption after last-ditch talks failed to stop the biggest rail strikes in 30 years.

Thousands of staff at Network Rail and 13 rail operators are due to walk out on Tuesday, affecting most major lines.

Mick Lynch, general secretary of the RMT rail union, blamed the "dead hand" of government, saying ministers did not allow employers to negotiate freely.

The transport secretary said "outdated unions" were "opposing progress".

Grant Shapps said about 20% of services were expected to run during the strikes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, focusing on key workers, main population centres and critical freight routes.

Services are expected to be affected from Monday evening, with disruption continuing on non-strike days this week.

Jessie Wallace has been warned by BBC chiefs and reportedly urged to 'slow down' by her friends after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

The EastEnders actress, 50, has 'expressed her deep regret' after she allegedly told a police officer to 'f*** off you fat c***' during 'five minutes of carnage' outside a nightclub.

Wallace, who plays barmaid Kat Slater in the BBC soap, allegedly kneed the officer in the groin before she was arrested and placed into a police van, but she was later released without charge.
