Android hands down. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know how to use it.
-----------
Anyone who prefers Android over Apple, just can't afford Apple.
---------------------------------
My phone was the same price as an Iphone. I would never ever buy apple for a laptop or PC. A phone I would consider but not a computer. So yeah, you talk balls.
maestro... why pay more for an inferior phone?

I wouldn't, I pay for quality, which is why I prefer iOS to Android (Apple v Android doesn't even make sense).

Maybe you should give one a try. They look better and you'll enjoy using them more than a windows computer.
Infact, use Linux and enjoy it even more.
Apple 1ghz processor. Sony Xperia S 1.5 ghz dual core processor. For me Apple products are inferior and ridiculously priced. It's a dictatorship, they know full well the i-robots have to have the latest products because their lives depend on it, so they roll out the same thing with little tweaks every year and the i-robots fall for it.
You did mention you had that phone earlier, and I did agree it was the best Android phone I've ever used, but this (IMO) is Sony, who have modified Android to a better quality than most other phone companies.
I didn't realise how expensive they were though.
imacs are great but cost a mint
you basically pay a grand more for £500 worth of better
which is worth it if £500 doesn't crush your finances
the Galaxy s3 is better than the iPhone but cheaper
I'd love a Note2 but have to wait out the contract on the s3

What in your opinion makes an Apple computer better? More importantly, £500 better?
it looks brilliant, works brilliantly, everything you plug into it just works, the screen is brilliant, tiny footprint for a massive computer.
I prefer windows because I like the short cuts better and feel more comfortable navigating but the imac is a great piece of kit. I'd buy it again no remorse.
You can make your own Hakintosh for a lot cheaper than a Mac. In fact spec by spec you can make a Hakintosh where an equivalent Mac PC would cost over 4x as much.
So it looks better. I'll give you that. That's all it has. The motherboard is worse, the processor is worse, the graphics cards are generally worse, the memory is generally worse, they're more expensive, you can get less things for it, you are very restricted with it.
Do you actually know anything about computers? Or are you just going by the look of it? My wife does this
The main difference between a mac and a pc

I hate Apple. They're an evil oppressive company.
But I really, really like my imac despite overpaying for what it is by a fair margin
oh well
When it comes to computer, it all depends on what you're using them for. If you're just checking emails, going on Facebook and JA606, then a Windows machine is probably best.
For me though (I do use windows a lot too), Mac wins.
It's the little things IMO.
I never have to defrag my Mac
Plug and play works as it should
Power management is far better
No Internet Explorer
SPRING LOADED FOLDERS!!!!!
Macs are better for Media or Artistic usage, PC's are better in every other department imho.
Windows isn't great either. You can't do anything on a Mac. It's good if you only want Facebook etc but if you want to actually do things you go with Linux. Windows 8 is nearly as restrictive as Mac. I had it for about 3 hours then reverted back to a Windows 7-Linux dual boot.

Buy a solid state drive for your windows pc = no defrag
windows 7 is very much plug and play
Power management settings on windows 7 is good
Use firefox
I like to upgrade my pc whenever i chose and not be restricted to overpriced revisions every couple of years , i game a lot on it too
Macs are good for video editing though
I realise if you do this, and that and configure this and that and install this and that and update this and that....that you can make a better PC than mac
but I just can't be ar5ed to research and do all that and maintain all that so I just bought a mac and it's been the best computer I've had.
If I had the time and interest I'd probably do all those other things but I just don't.
"Buy a solid state drive for your windows pc = no defrag"

That's a rather expensive solution, don't you think? I'd rather set my PC to do it automatically. Mine wakes up at about 2 in the morning, does a quick defrag, AV scan, installs any updates, then shuts down again. Much easier and cheaper than an SSD.
Yes so a Mac is good for people who don't know or care much about computers. A PC is a playground for people who do.
RR - And that's exactly the same situation as IOS vs Android.
I've found various android apps to make my job easier and my work mate (who has an Iphone 4s) keeps going "ooh that looks good.... I can't do that "
I care about my PC for work. A Lot. And I'm much happier it's not Mac.
For home it's mac all day long.
