hopefully.
Kelleher
Gomez Konate Phillips Tsimikas
Milner
Ox Keita
Gordon Minamino Jones
Origi maybe instead. Wouldnt be risking anyone else as we're already dropping like flies. Thiago Firmino Elliott barely 6 games in.
How badly Injured are Thiago Firmino and Elliot?
Keita deserves a start, but I think putting him in such a dire squad won't do him any favours.
should have a bit of confidence after that goal, Klopp should challenge him to put a marker down be an example etc. Could be an ideal game for him.

Weaker opposition, but lesser support from his fellow midfielders. Not to mention the quality of forwards ahead of him
Origi has to play though, if he doesn't play these games we won't ever be shot of him.
Thiago theyre hoping a few games, Elliott they arent putting time frame but confident this season, Gomes of Everton i think had similar and he was back in less than 4 months so if all goes well could be back in january with a road to recovery vid posted on 31st and klopp saying hes like a new signing again. Bobby could be back by next game after Norwich but not sure how much he will play if he does.

On the Liverpool Facebook page they have a video of all 100 of Sadios goals for us.
Never really appreciated what an instinctive finisher he is, always thought he scored far more driving runs than he has.

Add that Rafa is keeping the Everton fan base split on him so they won’t mind when he goes to Barca or Madrid just like their other managers that needed a stepping stone
He's going to take them down for us.
Good article in The Times about Gordon and his introduction to the first team squad. A good insight on how the senior players take you in, especially when they see a proper talent. Good to see we’ll be helping Derby out too if he starts…..
Kaide Gordon was training with the under-23s at the start of July when Pep Lijnders, Liverpool’s assistant manager, decided to wander over and cast his eye over the session. “I saw one player and he has fire in each moment that he touches the ball,” Lijnders explained. “He passes players like they are not standing there. I called Jürgen [Klopp] immediately and was like, ‘Wow! We have a new player here.’ ”
The head-turning promise of the 16-year-old Gordon could result in his senior Liverpool debut in the Carabao Cup third-round tie away to Norwich City tomorrow, a game which will pique the interest beyond the two clubs involved.
Cash-strapped Derby County sold Gordon to Liverpool in February for an initial fee of £1.1 million, which could rise to £3.4 million depending on various clauses being triggered. Were Gordon to make his first senior start, Derby, who have appointed administrators to take over the running of the club, would receive an additional payment of £100,000.
It is very much a case of when, not if, the winger makes his bow. Gordon has made an instant impression since leaving Derby, whom he first joined at under-nine’s level, catching the eye on Liverpool’s pre-season training camp in Austria.
Klopp took a number of youngsters away to their Alpine base to bolster numbers, with several senior stars resting after their Copa America and European Championship exertions. Yet it is testament to Gordon that he stayed with the first team when they moved on to Évian, France, rather than returning to Merseyside. He took part in several friendly matches where his pace and directness ensured he did not look out of place.
“When do you know you have a good player around you? It is when the senior players start taking care of this young player,” Lijnders said.
“So when you see James Milner speaking with Kaide, when you see Trent [Alexander-Arnold] becoming like a proper mentor to him, when you see that they invite him to sit at the table.
“All our boys invited him in the group and that made it not easy, but it made it good for him to adapt to our team and our style. He is what you see a lot with these kinds of wingers — they can outplay, they can combine.
“But he has a goal in him and he has this natural ability to be in the box between the goalposts to score, even when a cross comes from the opposite side. Not many talents have that. They maybe have dribbling skills but they don’t have that desire to shoot, to come in the box, to score. He is a typical Liverpool Football Club winger because he has goals, he has speed.”
Gordon, who was given his Championship debut by Wayne Rooney, the Derby manager, against Birmingham City in December, will become Liverpool’s fifth-youngest player if he features against Norwich at Carrow Road. If he were to find the net, he would become the club’s youngest goalscorer.
It takes a huge talent to infiltrate Liverpool’s senior set-up at present, but Klopp is always minded to give youth a chance. Conor Bradley, an 18-year-old right back who has already played for Northern Ireland, will also feature in the squad against Norwich and come under consideration for a start. The midfielder Tyler Morton, also 18, is hoping to be involved.
After the strides made by Harvey Elliott, 18, before his horrendous ankle injury, and Curtis Jones, 20, who is set to make his 50th Liverpool appearance, the pathway from youth level is open. “I am excited about our academy,” Lijnders said.
“There are so many diamonds, so many special players, who can’t wait to make these steps, so it is important we keep doing this. With the one we push, we inspire the entire academy.”
whats interesting about that is hes been snapped up and it sounds like Pep and Jurgen knew next to nothing about him. Was it the same for Elliott?
Klopps always liked having the youth atleast in around training with the seniors from time to time. Prob big reason behind the new training ground layout etc. I imagine if it was like it used to be Gordon wouldnt have even been seen by Pep.

Id imagine with regards to low fee transfers for the youth teams it's largely the responsibility of the committee, m t many managers would be getting involved in the signing of such young players
whoever has been doing it has been doing a good job snapping up elliott gordon tht polish lad etc.
