I'd say he stuck closer to 'clear and obvious' after being told he made a mistake for getting involved in the penalty against United. Although it's supposed to be a factual decision so not sure clear and obvious is supposed to come into it.

I've just seen it back and yeah the contact was made when the Southampton player's foot was outside the box. I thought it may have been on the line and therefore correctly awarded but it does look outside the box.

There's been a bit of noise about a breakthrough with VVD. Salah will get done purely because it would be mindbogglingly stupid not to. Trent is the only question for me.

Salah saying he’s not received a single offer to stay yet is mental.

It's cause Salah has come out and said he has er to receive a formal offer, but that doesn't mean we've not been in negotiations or even given a verbal offer.

Really dragging now though and Gordon or Edwards or Hughes need to just give him something concrete given the form he's in.

Would be a huge psychological boost to the squad if nothing else.

It's been fairly well documented that discussions are taking place though, so it's a bit of a confusing one. I stand by that it will get done purely because it would make no sense not to though.

I guess the only potential concern for me in that case is might Salah end up changing his mind if he thinks the club don't want him enough to have it sorted by now.

But I do reckon it will be done.

With Salah do you think it's financial and/or length of possible contract? been thinking VVD will stay, felt Salah would as well and maybe only Trent would be off but its a worry for Pool fans until some clarity is given
