I'm pretty sure the EU has said it would protect the NHS explicitly in the negotiations.

The privatisation of the NHS would concern me far more out of the EU than in it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100%

People need to look at the future leadership of the Conservative Party and then read what they have written about the NHS.

Gove's book, for example, explicitly calls for the complete dismantlement of the Service.

Ah see I'm the opposite, I don't think there has been much impact to our economy and won't be in the short term as we can mask it fairly easily, it's in 5 or 10 years that we will really see the negative impact.

I don't see how renegotiating 57 trade agreements from a position of actually little strength can be discarded from a position of faith. Nor do I see how we can get access to the single market in anywhere near as good a position as we have now.

I don't believe it is the cause of the majority of the issues that were discussed on the referendum and our own govermment has got off very lightly. Even if they were, it's MEPs we've elected (the joint largest amount in the EU) so it feels a bit daft to me anyway not to blame ourselves either way.

The financial predictions for Bremain that were produced to support their campaign claimed we would earn £35 a week less by 2030. What they didnt say was that the same predictions included slower growth and lower inflation so the cost of living would also be lower. Bremain went with the headline that we would be worse off, based on earnings only whereas in real terms of what you will be able to afford to buy the effects are far less dramatic.

People need to learn to find out whats behind the propeganda.

Any government that gave away control of the NHS would be commiting political suicide. I think it is safer outside TTIP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What makes you think that TTIP will not be on the negotiating table when we start negotiating our trade deals with either EU or USA?

A huge part of TTIP is to allow USA corporations access to our closed NHS. If the EU cannot provide that then that part of TTIP will possibly be removed for the EU deal.

Any UK deal WILL still have an NHS clause to allow USA corporations full access to the NHS.

NO NHS, No deal.

As much as you don't want to believe this, it will happen and sooner rather than later.

Another point to think about is that as the UK has been part of EU for 40 years, we have had no need of trade deal negotiators.

As a consequence of brexit we will require hundreds of trained trade deal negotiators and we have between 12 and 20 with any experience of the type of deals we will need to negotiate.

This is indeed going to be a very bumpy ride

What will they all do when Jezza is reelected? They need to listen to the Membership.

Oh, the great unwashed should be listened to now?

Based on the discussions on here over the past few days, I would think that 60-80% of our negotiating needs can be filled by ja606 posters.

Rosso

The book you refer to may have had parts that were about privatising the NHS. The book had more than 1 contributor and Goves contribution was not about the NHS.

We had 92 million pounds worth of exports to the USA by the last set of figures, but no trade deal.

TTiP is just more proof that EU commission is for corporations and not the benefits of ordinary europeans.

This years round of increases in the EU budget has been kept secret like TTiP negotiations.

Oh that's OK then

So we havn't got any one who can make a trade deal cause its all been done by EU, well they can't be that good at negotiations, oh wait they havn't made a deal with, India China or Australia and it took 9 years to get one with Canada. It's cause they are very good at protectionism, not openness.

TTIP for one but that appears to be under threat now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That concerns you more than the ongoing privatisation under new labour and this government?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Normal Labour supporters have a duty to pay their £3 and vote against Corbyn.

If they do not, there is no point whining about another Tory government
