Brick Lane curry is awful, it’s made specifically for tourists who think that’s were you go for an authentic curry. Walk 20 minutes east and you’ll get some proper Pakistani cuisine though.

on the topic of curry I have found when I go back and visit my old stomping ground of the curry mile in rusholme, you can the changes in British demographics played out right there on the mile
it used to be wall to wall 'Indian' curry houses, these days it is far more middle eastern and arabic with very few of the old places

The Dil Raj in Abingdon is still the best Indian I have been to in all the countries I have been in.
We have one close to where I live now that is good but not close to that one.
