"Want a new shovel?"

You've just broken another one over your own head ??
"strong militarily"

What's your definition for that :

How much the average USA/China soldier can lift in kg in a "clean and jerk" ??

"what are we talking about now guys ?"

Veronghen is toying with mys over his definition of "military superpower" .

The plank has now introduced "militarily strong" as a new term of measurement. We are awaiting him to produce a supporting "table" of figures for him to show this new exciting development.

Still waiting for your answer on how much a nation has to spend before it becomes a superpower myhammers...with BBC evidence to support please

Is that really what we were discussing?

I was conducting a short study entitled 'The impact of restricted educational opportunities in one London borough and the resultant inability of a West Ham fan to grasp basic global politics'

"Is that really what we were discussing?"

I had to translate your text into Newham-ese.

* 100 is closer to 700 than 63
* China is just as strong militarily as US
* 'Militarily' is not a proper word
* The BBC is not as credible a source as mere conjecture. Or simple dictionary definitions. And is in league with the Chinese govt.

Really well done! Any more?

Myhammers' comment 7 pages ago was

China "will be an economic superpower (along with America and India) by around 2020. And with great financial clout comes sporting success."

Like I said, you need to refer to the BBC if you want information on how they compile their stats etc. I am simply relaying them.

Do you have a "table" to support that claim ??

"'Militarily' is not a proper word"

Is that a Newham dictionary ??
What about "militarily strong" ?? Definition in said dictionary for that ??

"China "will be an economic superpower (along with America and India) by around 2020. And with great financial clout comes sporting success.""

Only 10+ yrs too late with that prediction.

But myhammers, surely you, as the font of all wisdom and the bestower of the word superpower on countries, can explain how you come by your decision?

posted on 30/7/12

If I watch the weather forecast, I don't then call up the BBC to question how they came by that information, the qualifications of the forecasters, or the accuracy of the equipment used. Sorry for being so gullible.

By the way....just so you're aware of the credibility of your source of information

They're better than most but they're sure as hell not perfect. Just journos where the story comes first and facts second.

"as the font of all wisdom and the bestower of the word superpower on countries, can explain how you come by your decision?"

Actually no.
If his brain is likely a primitive neural network, he can come to decisions but not explain the rationale.

More "tables" needed as training input, mys.

posted on 30/7/12

OK...so by your own admission, the 'facts' you have hung your entire argument on have no more credibility than a long range weather forecast?

Thanks for clarifying

Let it go, folks. Go out and get some sunshine. And your copy of the Sun.

does anyone have any views on the syrian situation ?

"does anyone have any views on the syrian situation ?"

Yes.
China are not a "superpower" in the machinations in Syria.
This I know because mys showed me a BBC table showing military spending.

Heatstroke and The Sun.
At last we understand the source of mys "definitions" .

How do you define 'situation'? Or 'views'? Well, in my opinion, which is based purely on conjecture and bluff...

posted on 30/7/12

By the way myhammers...good to see you finally surrendered. You might want something more top shelf than the Sun though to keep your owners happy
