Joe Lewis's part in the Black Thursday coup is well known and you were advertising for an 'unpaid intern', ie slave on Gumtree.

"Anyway, I don't need you when I've got R2 to argue against me."

My vantage point is better than yours.
Will that do for starters ??

Him and George Soros manipulated the financial market to such an extent it forced the country to leave the EMF and nearly brought down an elected government.

Nasty, amoral etc etc. But LEGAL.

Is that it, Boris ??
An episode of the risky antics of hedge fund management, that still occurs today ??

Do people really boast that they pay their players an extortionate amount of money?

No ones boasting, indeed its mainly the press and other clubs supporters that bang on about ours, Uniteds and Chelseas wage bill. When discussing a transfer for most clubs they state it cost x Million meaning the actual money paid to the selling club. Strangely though when talking about players City buy they add in the wages for the length of the contract. So instead of 25M its 40M. A typical journalist license way of writing.

Based on last available figures, Man Utd have a seemingly manageable wage bill (wrt to revenue) . <Citeh> OTOH had wages exceeding revenues by over 20m. Even Chelsky were 30m+ on the right side of the line.

The data might be very different for this season (Spurs is allegedly 100m + etc) .

Exactly you quoting figures that pertain to when we were spending to play catch up. Last season from what we are told our income went up substatially, we will have the CL payments even though we only made the group rounds and we spent less on players. Slowly but surely our spend will decrease while hopefully our income will overtake it but its going to be a longish haul.

I dont know what's funnier; a club trying to get an unpaid intern - or the fact they advertised on gumtree

City must be wary if they're dealing with Levy - You should never trust a man who doesn't have a reflection.

Is it officially one in, one out at the Etihad these days?

posted on 30/7/12

No, but if we brought a new striker in now, other clubs might think we'll be that desperate to get rid of RSC and Ade we'll give them away and negotiations will drag on even longer.

posted on 30/7/12

Surely even with your owners there must a wage budget set somewhere.. some ridiculous figure that even they deem sufficient.

I think the whole world knows you're desperate to get rid of those two anyway. It does sound like the negotiations got incredibly complex though - I heard something about Ade asking City to pay into his charity for the length ofhis contract with us.

Now you're advertising for fresh bidders, I can't see any forthcoming to be honest - no AC Milan's of PSG's sniffing around.

Boris............ if he want's to leave on a free then give him to a middle-eastern or Russian team.

A free transfer means exactly that. The individual is free to join whoever they want!

posted on 30/7/12

We are desperate to get rid and it looks like you are just as desperate to get him, a compromise will be found.

Think Spurs need Ade more than City need to sell him.

If we didn't sell him we would be no worse off, if you didn't buy him you would be 20 odd goals and 10 assists worse off.

If it wasn't for Ade last season you prob would have finished 6th or 7th.
