I didnt see SOS stumping up the cash to buy the club. They just cause more trouble than is worth, I am sure they have good intentions but all we are is fans, they are owners and will run there business how they see fit.
I hate the fact that FSG had to come out and respond to the claims levelled against them and thst they might think those idiots represent all of us and thst the majority share their view. I hope they don't get disheartened and keep plugging away, taking the long but correct route which they have been doing thus far.

I also this TOOR
SOS served a purpose in our darkest days under H&G but now it has just gone way too far.
How can a bunch of lads think they can represent millions of us. They should of disbanded after that embarrassing anti Utd moment a few years back.
A few misguided elements seeking attention! Liverpool has global fanbase and a few bell e,nds shouldnt purport to speak for all of them.
I don't know how low FSG's total mismanagement of the club has to take us before people realise groups like SOS are vital in ensuring that clowns like Werner can't hodwink the whole fanbase. I honestly think some of the users of this forum will still be sticking for FSG and their "long-term plan" even if we're playing championship football next season.
Until we get responsible, honest owners SOS are essential.
More responsible than owners who refuse to mortgage the club up to the hilt in order to finance players?
More responsible than owners who are open and honest about the stadium situation, as opposed to spade in the ground kinda guys?!
I think we have very responsible and pragmatic owners, I can't see they have done anything wrong?, at the very most all you have is people speculating where the blame should lie
FSG are great owners, you want people who will spend more money? Be careful what you wish for, it will either be H+G style debts of a man city type owner who could just get bored I.e. malaga
Sorry, why should people not be allowed to question FSG? They are, of course, accountable and an open letter basically deflects that accountability since it only addresses the issues FSG want to address.
I did think FSG's letter was a spin to be honest.
Accountable for what? Ayre and rodgers inability to bring a striker in?
The so called "asset stripping" which was not that al all, it was well documented liverpool were running at a huge loss, that had to be adressed, FSG have footed the bill for our losses so far, and that's despite being owners that won't take profit FROM the club.
I don't really see what they need to be held accountable for?

I understand what you are saying but I do wish you would not make them out to be some kind of philanthropists in a vocational role.
I agree with those who say SOS are not representative of our world wide fan base and therefore SOS shouldn't claim otherwise.
However, I agree with SOS's statement that the board need someone superior based in the UK.
One example which springs to mind is the Suarez-Evra Saga. Had the board acted more decisively and more sooner things would not have blown up as they did. Also Dalglish wouldn't have had to face the media on his own and be made to choose to back Suarez publicly as much as he did. A UK based member of the board could have intervened much sooner before the whole thing escalated.
I also agree that we would have signed up a new striker as well.
Our decline started long before FSG when we failed to capitalise on the new premier league brand ala united, it started when we failed to capitalise on branding and sponsership. Something FSG are adressing brilliantly.
It continued when H+G loaded the club with unsustainable debt, to buy the club and then fund purchases and wages, a debt FSG cleared.
It also started when rafa was removed after 1 bad season, before rafa we qualified for champs league something like 4 times in 10 years, with rafa it was 5 in 6, he was replaced with a dinosaur with a completley polar style of management and tactics, FSG removed him.
Yes kenny may have been harshly treated in being sacked, but he failed to address tactical issues, he was also brash and rude with the media, which is FSGs primary buisness, they removed him (who had 4/5 years AT BEST) and gave us a young hungry manager capable of a ferguson style dynasty
FSG are trying to halt our decline, it began 21 years ago
They take cash from the gullible all over the world (for god only knows what purpose) head to the Sandon, get p1ssed, write an embarrassing letter and wake up hungover.
If they just got rid of the scamming cash off our fanbase and writing letters, they might not be half bad.
They actually would sound a bit like me
They are trying to halt our decline, but they are doing a bad job of it in lot's of people's eyes. As such, I see no harm in asking questions rather than just sitting back and accepting our position since they happen to be rich people.
Why are they doing a bad job? Give some reasons? Or do you just hate them for hates sake?
Some of our fans are being ridiculous and ungrateful in my eyes, don't forget we might not have had a club to support, is that not enough?

FSG are trying to halt our decline, it began 21 years ago
-----------------------
No. Just no.
Declines are relative and if you are of a certain age then what we have now is a decline. I'm not having it said that they are trying to correct 21 years of hurt. It's BS.
Further more you're wrong about Kenny. I don't know whether you noticed but we battered Arsenal last season. Sure we lost but we dominated 90% of games last season. We've gone from a team that had a few problems to one where it's all been ripped up and started again so we have lots of problems.
You mention tactical issues before - well now it's one pass and teams are straight at our back four.
Saying Kenny had a polar style of management is nothing more than a soundbite.
We will let in goals and not score many. You can play all the pretty passes you want but that's just maths.
Well, either hiring or firing Kenny was a mistake. A very costly mistake. I believe their transfer policy was ridiculous, sanctioning that amount of money for players that were all good, but not breathtaking. It is unclear how much say Kenny had in the choosing of and purchasing of players (despite what he says), but he has always been a club legend with a great track records as both a manager and player. Of FSG, we know very little (I believe the red sox are only narrowly off the bottom of their league now)
If the owners had known anything about LFC they would know how much pressure our players are under compared to most other teams, given the history and expectations. Sticking ridiculous price tags on the heads of these people is more often than not, going to end up making them buckle under the pressure. However, I could've looked over this issue a bit if the players and manager were given the time to settle in properly and for everything to click. Now BR seems determined to completely break everything that was being worked towards but is not given the financial backing to change it much. It all reeks of unprofessionalism and I see no reason to not be sceptical of FSG's abilities as owners of a premier league club, of which they have no experience.
I hate the fact that FSG had to come out and respond to the claims
----------------------------------
TOOR, Totally disagree with that. Any information about the owner's plans is most welcome whatever the reasons for their divulging it. I have been concerned for a while that they are only interested in signing young, relatively cheap players who can (hopefully) be sold on for a profit. I'm not particularly happy that they have confirmed it but at least it sets our expectations for future transfer dealings.
Before you all start shouting, yes, Allen looks like a great player. Not so sure about Borini though. Some youngsters will be great, others won't. However, generally they represent more of a risk than older, established player such as RVP (yes, I know he wouldn't have come but I'm talking about the general principle)
Robbing I said hodgson had a polar style or management to rafa, and to keeny in fact, kenny played good football it was just frustrating to watch in the final third, and we were often hit on the counter last season too.
And its not BS, had we capitalised early doors on sponsership we would have been able to spend a lot more during the entirety of the premier league uyears and would not be where we are now, I would even hazard a guess that rafa would have won us the league had we had equal financial footing to utd all this time
Don't bury your head in the sand purely to play the blame game with FSG
So its FSGs fault commolli and kenny overspent?
And you don't believe kenny that he signed them? Look at the players he bought for liverpool first time around, and at blackburn, they were typical kenny signings!!
FSG seem to get beaten with both ends of the stick, just so fans can appease their frustrations at our recent performances.
Makar you are also questioning BRs appointment already? I'd say your lack of patience is more to blame for your frustrations than FSGs ownership
Random;
I've not played a blame game though. I do, however, find your sensationalist defence of them rather unfounded. They have made mistakes and some of them are glaring. It simply true. I'm not sure they know football and I'm not sure they have thought certain things through. You can say they don't have to know football but all I'll say is that it cannot hurt.
At the end of the day they, and you, are asking for patience. Well who is more patient - them or the fans because they are the ones sacking managers.
I have zero affiliation with SOS but the very fact they exist is a shame. The letter itself if quite reasonable though.
Do you think we'll get 8th and in two finals? I don't.
I can't see they have done anything wrong?
--------------
I find this statement confusing.
Henry admitted to making mistakes and have also admitted they basically knew nothing about the sport of football when they took over. (For me this remains a problem).
If they have admitted to making mistakes, why can't you bring yourself to see them?
Faith in the business model is one thing. Blind acceptance of everything they do, for me is foolish. I don't like the SOS and their motives, but questioning the decision making of the power brokers and the money men at our football club when they f up, I would suggest is a sensible thing for any supporter to do.
I will support the manager and I will support the the team. However, I'm not ready to be buying a LFC/FSG half and half scarf just yet.
