Just en route to the game with Camel Jr. On the matchday bus and for some strange reason feeling pretty optimistic. He's properly excited too. So with sausage rolls consumed and fuelled by irn bru we head to the ground. Not really expecting too much of a change in personnel or formation but definitely looking for more class and solidity.
Will check in at half time. COYWM!
Just watching Norwich/West Ham. Jussi's got his team in trouble twice with horrible clearances.
Quite happy with that team.
Ricketts gas been awful so far and so bringing Alonso in is right. CYL hasn't even great either, but travelling a few thousand miles this week for international games might also have taken its toll.
Glad to see Mavies moved out of the middle of the pitch and a good choice to start N'Gog in a 442.
If that's mavies out wide then lets throw in the towel..
Hopefully its 433 with spearing and Andrews sitting deep and mavoes ahead with eagles behind the strikers.
Notlobbing, I thought Mavies was quite good playing right wing last year. Had a great game there at Ewood if memory serves.
He did but that was when he was in his patch of very good form, his best games of the season were in my eyes Liverpool home or United away, both of which he played infront of NRC and Muamba.
I remember against West Brom he was poor there, doesn't really have the pace for it. I can see why he would be good there and hope to be proved wrong, but hes only good in one position the way i see it.
Not too unhappy, although I'd have prefered Petrov in, Eagles on the right and Mark Davies on the bench.
Here's hoping that the international break has given the players and management time to make an honest assessment about why we have been so bad and then have the guts and gumption to do something about it.
Big day for Ngog has a real chance this season to make himself a hero, I think/hope he is going to be the difference today instead of our leaky defense.
COYWM
I'm 100% positive we'll be better defensively today simply because N'gog will be there to hold up the ball and pin their CB's back. More pressure for them means less pressure for us. COYWM.
1-0, Matt Mills after 3 minutes! Hoorah!
is this thing broken or is nobody commenting?
Just watching the game bud, people only comment on here when things go wrong
I think everybody's waiting for the inevitable equaliser, notlob.
I suppose no news is good news right now!
couldnt make it today and theres nothing less exciting then staring at my computer screen waiting for that type to come up and say something..
No streams for us championship dwellers
Mills has it in the goal again but it's ruled out as K Davies is ruled to have flattened Almunia in the build up.
2-0, Kevin Davies from a set piece.
KD !!!
Hearing we are playing well, any truth in that?
Yeah 2-0 go on big Kev, this is looking good.
Playing ok. Formation looks better.
Bit disappointed in Mavies though. Notlob was right, he isn't very good at right wing. In fact we are playing without a right winger.
Alonso looking confident.
Andrews is having a poor game but will continue to work hard. Eagles key man again.
Cheers TRR, Mavies was my only disappointment about our starting XI, would have preferred CYL or Petrov.
Watford may be the worst team to come here this season but you can only beat what's in front of you!
Hull 4-0 Millwall at HT, looks like we kick-started their season for them.
OK, time for a big long poo. Back in ten.
