So, I disagree with the OP, but I do appreciate all the comments expressed. However a couple of things to note. This is not the first time that we have lost to ICT at home and whilst the manner of defeat is disappointing, I do also think that this is unfortunately the new reality. I don't think that too many people thought that coming up the divisions would be a cakewalk, but some obviously did (or hoped) There seems to me to be no advantages to changing manager at this stage, unless we were to slump below the promotion level. I do believe that next year we will start to see a lot of better on field activity. Patience.
Castle at the start of last season rangerst were playing well was that just down to the players or was the manager more clued in.
Ifuno I don't expect us to be world beaters, but the wages we pay we should be trying to play football and at least have a game plan beyond hoof it up to McCulloch up front or boot it up to whoever else is upfront for plan B.
Ifuno at the start of last season we played dire as well. See the UEFA and CL qualifications. We just went on a run in the league, where he played with width then he changed it all (a winning formula) and it went t@ts up
Castle the difference with Smith was he made sure his defence was rock solid first. Surely McCoist should have done that easily for Div 3.
Aye he could castle...cos the squad were schitt feart o him
There was a fair bit of turgid football under Walter, sometimes thats how games went in the spl,but the players would show fight cos they had respect for the man in charge. Dont know if the pals act works....
Uno
The defence is g@sh atm and the foreign lads have been guilty as most of makin it that way
Why did perry come aff last night? Injured or scheidt?
Ah well Castle as Celtic fan its a bit of a laugh but as the season goes on I find myself not even checking Rangers scores any more. The way we see it is as long as we're in Europe rangers games aren't important. Never thought I'd say that.

So there's no advantage to changing to a manger who plays football that has a plan. A manager that may string some away wins together. A manager that plays football that's nice on the eyes and is played through the middle of the park with width as well?
You don't think this is the best time to implement that change? Instead you want to watch us struggle and play the worst boring pathetic 70's style hoofball imaginable with no progress and the team playing nervously?
So for you as long as we win the league by goal difference playing part timers with the second highest budget in Scotland then that's ok? Well I'm sorry I for one want a bit more.
Castle & DC got to go. Keep the chins up you never know you could still win the league by 20 points and beat us in the SC final
I doubt it, but I'd take that as long as Davies was the manager at the time.
Laters.
Castle chin up mate things cant get any worse at least we still have a club to support
as has been said ICT have come to Ibrox and won before.
They beat a Rangers team with far better players than we had on show last night.
ICT are an SPL club with 11 SPL players when we had only about 6 on show the rest being kids or of a lower division standard.
We got beat fek get used to it as it will happen again
I agree Ally got some stuff wrong particularly the subs.
But geeze give it a rest and get behind him.
Tactically inept.
That is all.
see when you get beaten by a team 3 divisions above you sometimes its best to just say they were better.
You can have all the tactics in the world but if you are against better players you will most probably get beat.
6 of our first team cost more than their whole squad Duke.
Get behind Ally? No-one's saying I wont support the club. I will always support the club.
I'll back Ally the day I see progress and some football. I have yet to see that day. Until then I want a new guy in charge.
Awright blue
Glad to see ye could make it,thought ye might be goin' a wee holiday..
The only game he's managed to get tactics right is in the game against Motherwell.
The rest he's just either waited until the opposition tired, or, he can't change it.
It wouldn't kill him to go 4-4-2, dropping Black, and pushing Andy Little up front. Maybe once Templeton comes back, but no doubt he'll be kicked aff the pitch once again, leaving us back to square one.

so what
You need 11 to make a team.
Castle progress is going to be slow.
We have kids lower standard players and a few decent players.
They will win the 3rd division but lets not kid on they can turn over SPL clubs.
The cups are way beyond us at the moment so last night should be no surprise.
Perry needs dropped as well pure pash.

How do you know this.
We are top of the league.
Can you be so sure playing with other tactics would have us there.
We might be frign bottom of the league playing with different formation or in a different style.
How much did Ally spend in the transfer Duke. Ally bought those players.
It's not about SPL clubs. We struggle to turn over non league teams with this squad and style of play.
I'm willing to bet a good manager like Davies could have this team playing good football. I would stake my house on it.
You are deluding yourself if you think it's the players kids or not. Ally's making them all look bad when last year most were the best players for their clubs.
