Do you mean selling off many of our best players because we didn't want to end up in the financial mess like Rangers eventually did? At the expense of success on the field? Smith/Murray went on a reckless spending spree after the Kaunas defeat which helped to put Rangers in the position they are now. You won trophies along the way so don't moan about having to actual address that financial vandalism after all those years.
Debt was manageable, til the bank crash of 2008 and subsequent takeover of the bank wanted it called in,when the noose was tightened
Not moaning harvey, just a few facts that are all too easily glossed over
seems some a you tims have delusions of our grandeur on a par with some of our support

The fact is that the debt would have been more manageable if Murray addressed it when he should have instead of giving Smith an obscene amount to save face. Looking past the rights & wrongs of this, let's look at the other fact that this helped Rangers win three titles in a row. You seem to be glossing over certain facts yourself

Tell me about it. Good enough area though in my experience here.
You don't think this is the best time to implement that change? Instead you want to watch us struggle and play the worst boring pathetic 70's style hoofball imaginable with no progress and the team playing nervously?
So for you as long as we win the league by goal difference playing part timers with the second highest budget in Scotland then that's ok? Well I'm sorry I for one want a bit more.

Absolutely spot on, my sentiments exactly.
We have to grasp this opportunity. We have a host of quite decent youngsters who will benefit from all the games they will get over the next few years. But there's no point if they are taught to play a prehistoric style of football.
