1 year left on his contract and we haven't started negotiation. Laca's up turn in effort is obviously cause he is in the shop window.

Who is going to pay big money and wages for a 30 year old striker who doesn’t score that much

Summer is a long time away, and we've still got to fill the space for the next 6 months.

Ozil, Kola and hopefully Sokratis gone. 3 big earners. We should be negotiating with possible transfer targets now but nothing sounds concrete. Bit worried.

Managers who like him and see him playing for another 3 or 4 years without having to pay huge transfer fee cause he only has a year left?

Atletico have wanted him for a long time. And he sounds perfect for backing up Benzema for a season or 2.

Btw the reason why Ceballos loan fee was high is because his contract is winding down. Player value depreciates every season.

Laca is on £182k/week. He’ll be taking a big pay cut on his next deal so don’t see any incentive for him to move away. It’s not like he isn’t playing regularly or has a chance of playing for France if he moves to another club.

Not for Atletico or Madrid if the rumours are correct. £182k/week really isn't that much for starters for them.

They just signed Dembele. He’s not going there. Let it go

They took him on loan. They signed Morata instead of Laca. Hasn't worked out that well.

I am not making case for Atletico. Just saying that things change. And the fact everyone is cash strapped for transfer fees, just means even someone on £183k/wk is attractive if they don't have to pay a lot up front.
