In fact it was you who stated many times there was no plan B and it was Mudryk or no-one 😂😂

So you’re saying we did invest enough money back then then? In which case… what’s your point?
Not taking this opportunity for granted is obviously true, and I agree we shouldn’t. However, whether Edu and Arteta’s targets have changed it just guesswork. What happens next will tell us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I am saying that had they spent at the opportune moment would have won us the league. The fact that Wenger did NOT was terrible and why I turned against him. It only enforced my view that I held for years that Wenger was never going to win the league without Dein.
And I hope that Edu/Arteta do have a plan B is coming from leaks from Arsenal that they do. I am optimistic that they do.

Yeah, after Mudryk signed for Chelsea you changed your story and started preaching we had a plan B. Before that you were saying "Buy Mudryk or no one"...

Well yes because at one point I expected Mudryk deal to be completed with the amount of effort they spent on it.
And now with the possibility of winning the league with CIty dropping more points its my thinking, wishful that it maybe that they have something up their sleeve and not miss the opportunity of winning the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly 😂😂
You literally said Mudryk or no-one, then said we have a plan b after Mudryk went elsewhere.
Now you are accusing me of saying we were going to buy no-one when it was actually you 🤣
And to make it worse you are actually posting quotes to prove this 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Of course, I shouldn't have mentioned you. You never say anything ever unless it's to have a go at posters.
My point to Samir was that Arteta/Edu can see what we can, and I am sure they will act rather allowing us to drop out of the top 4, and I posted that because after a disappointing result lex, etc were in a negative mood. I wasn't having a go that somehow I predicted it and others didn't.
Arsenal are playing their cards close to their chest, probably to avoid another Mudryk fiasco. Lex, Dj, you I think were saying Arsenal are going to buy no one after Chelsea bought Mudryk. But we did get Trossard. We'll see what happens. I don't think Edu/Arteta are blind to what's happening. The 'project' requires us to stay in the top 4.

We were in the market for Caicedo and Mudryk. We ended up with Trossard and Jorginho. The latter two are fine as squad players, but they don't move the needle. I'm not saying we definitely won't sign anyone, but I am not convinced we are going to sign the level-raiser we need to keep us competitive for the remainder of the season. Level-raisers cost a lot of money and it just doesn't seem like we have the finances to be able to execute a lucrative move for a top player.
When this many journalists and accounts are saying we have to be careful with spending due to FFP, it doesn't bode well IMO.
I guess we'll see, but any signings we do make I expect to be youngsters or hidden gems.
We did buy Declan instead of Caicedo in the summer, using Jorghino as a holder till then.
Maybe we can do that for a striker with someone like Morata?

I suppose this depends on how you evaluate the squad's strength compared to the club too, though. Because how we as fans assess the squad is different from the decision-makers. For all we know, they could be happy with the squad we have and may point to injured players coming back as a reason for why we don't need to spend this month. It wouldn't be outside the realms of possibility that we do this.
I'm not saying we won't sign anyone, but equally, I wouldn't be totally shocked if we didn't. And IMO if you're going into this window anticipating that we're going to spend big, I just feel like that's setting yourself up for disappointment.

Do you think we need to spend big Samir?
To acquire the targets we want, they're not going to be cheap. Especially if we are after more than one. So yeah I do.
My expectations are not high that Arsenal will do a major big signing in January because of the FFP rules alone.
The market especially for strikers isnt the best in January.
The only exception is that we can sell players for major bugs in January first so that we have money available.
Allegedly Palace have been told Nketiah isn't available - yet! As you would expect, he only comes up for sale if we buy.

If the Palace interest in Eddie is genuine then the question is, is the Palace offer enough to convince us to sell? Do we have a clue who we want and is there a realistic chance to get the player? We need the player early in the transfer window. From what I read and I trust Ornstein most I dont think we will get a new striker.

Do you think we need to go big? I am not asking for you to predict whether we will or not. There are too many variables for anyone to do that.
If we can't get a striker which midfielders should we be looking at?
