I think context matters, if we get 100 points and don't win the league then that will be taken in account but if we whimper to second place again without a real title challenge then he'll be under a lot of pressure I'd imagine.

Have you ever seen Liverpool at Anfield so ultra defensively? City had the least ball possession since Guardiola took over.

Bilbao's manager for example said that Arsenal is one of the best teams in the world right now.

So yes....I think we belong to Europe's elite right now.

I have nothing against Arteta when we took it to the final day. We were brilliant that season, winning what 16 of the last 18 games. City were just too good.

However, if we are 10 points off Liverpool again this season and go out of every other competition, kroenke will pull the plug

Yeah and that will be fair enough, two seasons in a row would be enough evidence to show we've gone backwards and Arteta doesn't know how to keep us moving forward again.

I think purely basing it on winning a trophy would be a little silly though.
