We are talking about Arsenal, who gives a fack about Liverpool? And Liverpool were criticised and most said a 0-0 was the fair result for such a pathetic game between two teams who offered fack all in attack.

The game at Anfield and the game yesterday were there to be won. But because Arteta hasn't the bawls to play Nwaneri or start Eze and instead play 3 DMs we ended up with 1 point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was talking about fine margins and the double standards.

The reality is, until Arteta actually wins something, the so called double standards will remain.

Slot has already won the league and pep has won everything so regardless of how they set up in games against us, the focus will always be on us

I still believe we should be playing Martinelli in the striker position.

I agree with this but the way we play does not suit Martinelli type of player up front.

We have one of the slowest build up with the defenders taking 10 mins just to pass the ball to each other and then trying to get it to the flanks for them to cross it in.

It's a very predictable way of playing which doesn't really suit Gyokeres either which is what I was scared of when we signed him.

Merino and Rice partnership has seen them play together 11 times. We have only won once

posted 2 weeks, 2 days ago

Martinelli is scoring from the bench, so obviously our style does suit him. Arteta is sticking Gyokeres in the middle as if he bought Havertz jnr.

When Arteta starts, Eze--Odegaard--Saka will give an opportunity for Gyokeres or Martinelli to drift to wide left/right because Eze will move from wide into the middle in that 10 role that Berkamp used to occupy.

This is how we used Jesus initially. And when Havertz is fit, we could actually start both Havertz and Gyokeres in combination.

This is not Havertz in false 9: Marti-Havertz-Saka

But Eze in a 10 with far more movement for the striker no.9 drifting wide on both sides.

Arteta is the only person who should be criticised today.

I agree with him 100%

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's just his insistence of playing Merino with Rice and Zubi, Starmerball at its worst
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fine margins Crouchy.

If it gets off like it did at Bilbao all is good.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bilbao? Was awful until the late subs.

We has all the ball but no players who could do anything with it. By the time the creative players were on we were 1 down and City had 8 defenders on.

Liverpool won games like that, we drop 2 points.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but the result at Bilbao was good.

Fine margins. If we would have got the point at Anfield bar the wonder goal no one would talk about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arteta made the changes at half time, knowing he facked up the line up and then tries to tell the press that no one was moaning after the Bilbao game which had the same MF.

Hilarious

Twatter fears going around Noni Madueke could have a serious knee injury. They talking about an ACL injury.

Oh well.

Still can't really believe what arteta tried yesterday. Left his best attackers on the bench hoping to steal the game later on.

Trossard has regularly performed off the bench, why not leave him as your super sub? Start Eze and Martinelli, who have both done well against City in the past?

Wasted the entire first half. I bet he was desperate to bring the attackers in after city scored, but he couldn't because he knew it'd make him look like a fecking prat.

I always excuses arteta in the past as we just didnt really have the players. But he actively benched our best ones yesterday.

Gives Ethan more game time I suppose, at least he's shown he can produce from the wing

Only a rumour. Hope it turns out as bollox. I begin to pray.

This is Noni at HT. Is that an ACL?

Alan's always hated arteta. I'm starting to crack. I know we had injuries last year, but we stunk the league out with our football. The forest game this season so far is the only game I've really enjoyed watching us play.

Shame.

He needs to be braver but really the only poor part of the selection was playing Merino

The conservative midfield couldn't protect us from the counter but I'm not sure even with more attacking players we'd have broken City down any earlier. It took us relentlessly probing and tiring City out before fresh legs outpaced tired ones
