We obviously play Reading this weekend and Madejski has made it clear he supports the idea of a minute's silence. As far as I'm aware, anything like that is at the discretion of the club so I wouldn't be surprised if he pushes for it to happen this weekend.
While I'm sure that the club would begrudgingly support the silence, and the players would respect it, I wouldn't be at all surprised if instead of a minute's silence, "Justice for the 96" rang round the stadium.
Personally I think Madejski should think very carefully about what it is he's looking to do this weekend.

The FA should be absolutely decisive here - NO Minutes silence.
Anyone remember an England - Wales Rugby international a few years ago when during the minutes silence some drunk loudly shouted "Welsh C...Ts" and the crowd got a bit restless.
Well i really can't see a minutes silence being observed at any football ground and things could really kick off.
It's just not worth it. Her achievements were great in some things but at a high cost for which she has never been forgiven - and judging by various threads on JA606 that includes a lot of football supporters.

Tbh it is just being respectful to a iconic (whatever views you have doesn't change that) figure in recent history.

Why should football show respect to her when she never showed respect to football?

From the away fans obviously.
There will be plenty of respect paid for her Next, including a big fúck off funeral paid for by the country. Not sure why football grounds need to honour her memory as well

Yeah that island lying off the coast of Argentina with potentially billions of pounds worth of oil in it. It's as British as chips and curry
Completely incomparable to Germany in the 40's

I disagree with you here. I believe we should be able to pay respect but that a football stadium is not the place for it to happen.
Her funeral should have been held at a weekend so more people could all go and line the funeral route if they wanted to in order to pay their respects.
