Payne Steward
Has a lovely long easy motion swing and a gentleman of the game and life.
Ugly swings....so many, Tommy "2gloves", Ted Porter, McDowell, me.
dont rule out westwood and couples JPB
========================
I do though.
Out of the English guys I think Rose has both the game and mentality to win one. Still young, too.
Would always give Poulter a chance at the Open also.
i might go for angel cabrera
Brant, Lee or Scott is your winner.
If Day keeps nailing his drives he'll be in contention at the death.
oh and never rule tiger out only 3 or 4 behind
Let's see what he does here first.
I keep waiting for Leishman to fall away yet he keeps at it.

This is confusing now. What is two shot penalty for? Is it because he "gained an advantage?" Or is it because he dropped the ball in the wrong place? If it's the first option, then I understand where you're coming from now. This is as Woods has made a mistake and inadvertently brought it up in an interview. After signing the card he should get DQ'd
But if it's the second option, and the organisers didn't penalize Woods for just 'dropping the ball in the wrong place' then they've dropped a clanger.

Kags
The first option
It didn't come to light he'd deliberately tried to gain an advantage until the interview after he had signed the card
For the record, Tiger did not try to cheat. It was acciental because he clearly wasn't sure of the rules
Most of the pundits are being cagey becuase they all know Tiger's pulling power but I know what they all want to say
They cheated for dollars
I need to see his interview again. I saw it before all the controversy and I was sure he said he took a few yards off his shot, meaning he just hit it softer. It didn't seem like he was talking about the placement.
I realise it's irrelevant in terms of whether he gained an advantage, but they had the opportunity to make that call based on the footage earlier. The interview comments seem like a red herring. Like they knew they cocked up and had to go back on their decision.

They did not
That's the point
Got a horrible feeling Day's going to fall apart tomorrow

That's the most relevant bit
No your missing my point. There were two calls made to the officials - one before the round ended and then another after the interview. They reviewed the footage before he finished his round and took no action. They reviewed the same footage after the interview and did. Why do his comments make any difference?
And before you say he admitted to not placing it properly, that is exactly the part that I question, because I saw his interview before the controversy and I didn't interpret his comments that way. Hence I need to see the interview again.

because Tiger explained why he dropped it where he did
See my comment above. As I said, I need to see the interview again or at least a transcript.
TGI
They cheated
The whole golfing world know it, including Tiger
They definitely screwed up. I really think they felt some pressure on Friday evening and they came up with this rubbish about his comments. I think it's red herring, they should have given him the penalty before his round ended and this was to save face.
Anyway I'm down the rabbit hole again. Good nite.
