Just a few off the top of my head. All world champions too

VIKK, Vettel's car didn't always have quali pace but it had race pace.

From the middle of the season, they were the fastest car and he won 3 races on the trot that essentially won him the championship.

When his car wasn't up to it, he was mediocre.

Every world champion needs a competitive car, no doubt but the jury is still out on Seb.

Even a redbull team ambassador doesn't believe he'll be considered great until he leaves redbull.

Says it all really. Don't know why it makes people cry when you say this. It is what it is or perhaps you guys are suggesting that because of Button's title win in the brawn, he's the bestest of the best?

Their world titles have been won is similar circumstances and if Vettel is a supremo according to you guys, so is Button.

I would wager that Button would match Seb in a redbull

you make a good point about the english patriotic dislike of the mega successful vettel , any english forum populated with alot of english fans will automatically have a tribal bias towards the english drivers ,

saw much the same kind of adoration on the now deceased bbc 606 for hamilton by the english fans with alonso as the despised foreign ace ,

mind you in fairness bbc 606 was infested by alot of silly teenagers and hamilton infatuated old men but the patriotic thing was certainly very noticeable on there -

must admit the anti vettel feeling is now very apparent on the not 606 F1 forum as the anti alonso feeling was on bbc 606 ,

Depends how you define ignorant. If ignorant is disagreeing with you then I can see where you're coming from, otherwise all I can see is many people with many different opinions all getting on fairly well.

I think you have taken this thread a little off topic so perhaps you should give up on your random hissy fit about other forums. To help you get back on topic I think most forms of media would have Vettel as one of the top 3 drivers right now (along with Alonso and Hamilton), and I think that is a fair assumption. In different cars its nigh on impossible to compare drivers so similarly matched. They all have their strengths and weaknesses and as such its up to each individual to work out which strengths and weaknesses matter the most.

Vettel receives no more anti-bias than any driver on a winning streak, just look at the past champions currently in F1. All of them seem more liked now they're not winning everything. (I'm talking of neutral headed fans rather than the rare extreme fanboys)
